I reach out for you
in my mind and in my dreams,
For your touch is an illusion that long since departed,
And your love is now no longer mine

I call out for you,
In my grief and in my sorrow,
For your voice is a vision that long ago faded,
And your love is now no longer mine

I cry out for you,
In my tears and in my torment,
For your embrace is a fire that long ago vanished,
And your love is now no longer mine

I cry out for me,
In my thoughts of a lost tomorrow,
For your steps are an echo that long ago died,
And your love is now no longer mine

Yes it is sad i agree, and i hope that this memory fades andis replaced by a happier more fullfilling one. I know the feeling as I am going thru it now, so thats how i get thru it.

Thank you all for your replies. This was a very hard love to lose. It left me cynical and really f*cked me up for quite awhile. I like the line in the first Men in Black where Tommy Lee Jones tells Will Smith "Yeah? Well try it sometime!" when he's told that it's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved before". That phrase is so wrong in my book.

alwayzron - thats so true - how can it be better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all - i always wondered that becuase if you never loved at all well then you wouldnt know what you were missing and there would be no pain - oh my did that make sense!!!!!!!!
