What / Who is responsible for your religious beliefs (or lack of)? What DO you believe?
My dad grew up as a Baptist and my mom was Pentecostial. When my dad re-married, he quit going to church. I was raised by my mom and grew up in a Pentecostial home where we went to church all the time. Mom has had more influence on me than my dad and anyone else when it has come to religion.
I'm still Pentecostial, and still have faith in my belief, but neither my mom nor I go to church. Well, we've attended some services at one church, but we don't have ONE set in stone. I have learned everything from my mom. I value her teaching, and it was only recently that I discussed Christianity with my dad, who is just as wise a teacher as Mom. I don't really rely on a church for my teachings. I'll go but I don't worship the church. It's not so much as hypocricy (Hm I think I spelled that right), but that people tend to twist things into their own words.....>.> Hm.
