DelRey -> Drama and the kink board, does it have to be ? (8/16/2006 8:46:34 AM)

    BLA, BLA, BLA...

I almost dropped this response in on a thread where most all of the  respondents were trying to out “Dr Phill” each other with all there fervor and self appointed PHD bullshit..

I laugh my ass off at you people that work your selves into a masturbation state with your keyboards as you pound out a response to an OP, somehow have the ability to transform your selves into the next Dr. Phil complete with the PHD mind set to sort out and dissect all the inherent troubles of the world including this phucked up world.

So, an O.P. makes a post because she had this “drama” relationship issue. Her gut was telling her something, I don’t know something about, “should I tell him to hit the road?” or “why can’t he read my mind?” or “poor me and my feelings” or some other dribble. You know the posts ! Does she already know the answer/s? likely.  Will she listen to all the dear Abby wisdom bestowed upon her ?  Doubtful.   And yet all you people hammering out your Graduate of  Oprah’s feel good response like your competing monkeys to see which one can ring the bell to get the treat.  ~~~ LOL, ROFL~~~

I come here for some laughs and to pick up on some kink. You might say I try to keep things in perspective. The funny part of many of your posts is not the Drama of the OP's, but rather the responders that would kill to have their wisdom be heard. It generally show in the amount of posts they have had listed just under their avatar.

Lighten up fellow Kinkers, Its about your social life. Is your social life really that "serious" and full of "drama" ?  isn't it more about lighter times and fun? Aren’t you here for a kink diversion and maybe a smile or two ?   Think about it next time you mount that keyboard as you prepare to regurgitate all of your perceived mankind’s wisdom on the next OP.

With that said, I know some are very good questions, some are emotional and some are new and don’t have a phucking clue.

My point is………………… try to lighten up … it doesn’t need to be that serious.

So you pound out a long post about how pathetic other people's long posts are?

Some of us actually DO have the ability to see past a person's words and see into someones mind.  Clearly some don't.  It kind of separates the men from the boys.

LaTigresse -> RE: Drama and the kink board, does it have to be ? (8/16/2006 9:00:39 AM)

Ahhhhhhhh dear DelRey, and then what would those poor souls that seem to have no other life do???

Unfortunately there will always be those that just THRIVE on drama. And then there will be those, that have ever so much FUN laughing at it.
It all reminds me of when I used to own an antiques business. We used to do alot of restoration. There was a large antique shop that we used to buy all of our hardware when pieces were missing it. Now, you must realize, that the antiques business is full of many very "unique" people. Most all professing to be experts, know more about any given topic, be more honest than (yeah right) etc etc etc.......and more than happy to expound upon said ideals. (sound familiar?) One incident in particular I shall never forget. I was waiting patiently for the shop owner to finish some business so that I could order some parts and wandering around looking at the merchandise to see if there was anything new and interesting. A rather robust gentleman was standing near a group that was looking at a very nice round clawfoot oak table. He proceeded to announce to all within earshot " I have a table just like that, only IT's MORE ROUND!"  I had to make a fast exit to another part of the shop so that my peals of laughter would not insult my friends potential customer.

However, on the flip side I do see alot of good come from SOME of the deeper threads and have actually learned more than a few interesting tidbits myself.

missturbation -> RE: Drama and the kink board, does it have to be ? (8/16/2006 9:11:35 AM)

Is your social life really that "serious" and full of "drama" ?
Occasionally yes my life is serious and yes its quite often full of drama.

isn't it more about lighter times and fun?
Not always - i wish it was.

Aren’t you here for a kink diversion and maybe a smile or two ?
A kink diversion? I'm not kinky i'm just me so i guess the answer is no. A smile or two yeah but i sometimes get those smiles from seeing others here help each other.

If you don't like certain threads don't read them. Oh and my figure for amount of posts is mostly got from being in polls and random stupidity where we just chat shit so dont judge a book by its cover.

And if that weren’t enough to laugh at, then there are the people who don't read the OP but have an opinion anyway LOL (crappy dom ? anywhere in my post did I complain that posts were long ? )    see what I mean...... he had trouble getting through it  and this prolific poster is a self proclaimed "Clare Voyant".

It just don't get any better than this........ ya can't make this shit up........ Laughing hysterically....

Dont like certian threads ?  Hell I would n't miss this for the world.... like I said "It can be a good belly buster now and then"

sleazybutterfly -> RE: Drama and the kink board, does it have to be ? (8/16/2006 9:25:33 AM)

I come here to enjoy myself and I learn something once in a while in the process.  If I don't want to read a thread, I don't.  That is the good thing about the boards, no one sits there with a gun to your head and makes you read one word.  If they do, you must have a lot of deeply seeded issues I would be happy to consult with you about either here, or on the other side.

JMHO though..

Well, I wrote into the e-mail I think you are referring to - and I was honestly trying to help. I don't know if that particular person will listen to anything anyone had to say in response to her question - but, someone else might be in a similar circumstance, and maybe someone else will benefit. Who really knows?

I like attention.  *dances*

SusanofO -> RE: Drama and the kink board, does it have to be ? (8/16/2006 10:24:47 AM)

Well I have to just say: About half the posts, in my estimation, on the CM boards are in reference to people asking for help with their issues or problems. Sometimes, they are not just wasting their or everyone who reads and responds' time, they are honestly trying to get some advice.

Last week-end I asked for help here. I was followed home from a bdsm "play" house by a potential stalker - and I was terrified. I needed to vent, and also needed advice re: What I should maybe do next. I got some darn good advice here, and was extra glad for the CM boards last weekend.

If you cut out the posts asking for advice, you'd cut out about half the posts on these boards, I think. And some people honestly do want advice.

Just my two cents, though.

PlayfulOne -> RE: Drama and the kink board, does it have to be ? (8/16/2006 10:37:01 AM)

Delray,

Is there something you need us to get Dr Phil like about with you.  A reason why you are feeling so lonely and  need attention?

K

IronBear -> RE: Drama and the kink board, does it have to be ? (8/16/2006 11:48:21 AM)

The interesting thing Delray, is that whilst a geed many replies to a perceived problem are on the mark but from differing views, it doesn't matter a hoot of the OP never takes any notice oif sugested solutions or ideas to resolve situations, Just by reading their and everyone elses subconcious minds have absorbed the information. Some time down the track relevent pieces of information will come to the fore and be of help in a greater or lesser degree. I do know of others reading posts have found a great deal of help by reading what others say even though the reader has not participated in the thread..

People come here for a variety of reasons.. I guess for many they get what they want/need from the forums.. Kink? no I'm never here for kink jusr something to do when I can't sleep or read..
