Diapers are my major kink, and I met my first ever domme. She's around 50 and been doing this ever since she was in her twenties, but it's something that she said she's never had experience with. We're just talking right now, we haven't done anything. Anyway, she says that I'll have to guide her along the way.

Fair enough, it seems to be a comparitively rare fetish so I'm not expecting anyone I meet to really be that familiar with it. What I'm worried about is topping from the bottom. How do I assert myself when she's doing something "wrong" or something?

In short, communicate.

Since you are the expert in the field (between the two of you), you can either discuss it with her outside of scene time (to remove the element of topping from below), or give her material to read on the subject (or point her to something relevant on the internet, or somesuch).

Honestly if she has asked you to guide her, topping from the bottom for the first session or so isnt going to be an isue. Once you get past the learning stages... then you can worry about it. but when a Domme asks you to guide her, she accepts the idea that you are going to do so for a bit and wont hold it against you.

You're in essence, mentoring her in a new skill. I myself have worked with submissives early on that had far more experience than I in specialty areas like infusion, caths and the like. Be respectful and make suggestions on another way of doing it based upon your experience.

I'm not sure why you're replying to me, but I'll try to address your question.
Age play, specifically the adult baby dynamic, DOES have a totally different mindset than most of us are used to handling. It's not 'just changing a diaper' but how to foster bringing out the AB, or how to take on various roles with the AB (governess vs mommy vs babysitter, etc.) I do know two male subs in the PA/MD area who also are into AB and who have taught many a dom woman a thing or two on their asking about the AB fetish/kink.
