Okay, so recently I've been having a strong oder coming from "down there' lately. I know for a fact it's not STD related. I was wondering if it could be due to something along the lines of excessive tearing? My Sir is 'bigger than your average bear' and was curious if it could have something to do with the tearing??

it doesn't have to be std related to have an odor down there, sometimes it's yeast infections, or urinary tract infections that cause us to have said odor. sometimes it's that time of the month that cause an odor to be noticed, but seriously go see a doctor to get it checked. if you leave it long enough i hate to say this but it could turn into something more serious such as cervical cancer ( i know from when i was 18 and left something similar to this alone). i am not trying to scare you but honestly go get it checked afore it does get worse. i hope this helps

It could be a chemical reaction or a sign that your body's ph level has become unbalanced. If you haven't made any noticeable changes in your diet and have a fairly good fluid water intake and haven't been prescribed new medication, I would sincerely consider seeing someone. You could try changing soap to see if this helps. That can be the culprit particularly in summer heat. porcelaine

This could go on forever, but I gotta tell you...........chlamydia or yeast infection......... Goes like this for men, if you can smell your own farts, you got problems.... I make light of this but believe me, if you can tell a difference, hit the to a chanker mechanic, now.............. Ron

Bacterial infections can also cause nasty odors. When I worked for a gynecologist we would frequently have women come complaining of odor and it often turned out to be bacterial. And yes, bacterial infections need to be treated by a doctor.

I just recently had an abortion and have now started taking birth control pills. Could that have something to do with it?

Greetings..~smiles~ Don't know what "recently" refers to in time..but if your having odor that is unusual..chances are maybe that not all has been disolved or extracted, and you have ..ugh not even going there...you need to hit the doc but quick before you end being septic. starshine Happy slave of Master Delvin

They had me on heavy anti-biotics....and I went to the doctors again for a check-up..so no possible way that coulda happend. LOL

Antibotics will kill the normal flora of your vaginal area, and lead to superflurous infections. If you are here since this odor began..then it's assumative that you have not been to a doctor about it. Still..check up or no..from your situation it sounds like a 3 choice scenerio. 1. Just as I already stated despite having seen a doc for follow-up after the abortion (ofwhich being on a antibiotic would not dissolve or remove uhm you know what..it does not have that sort of capability. 2. You have a super infection brought on by the large dose's of antibiotics..3. You have a slow bleeder inside if they used hardware, and the dried dead blood inside is not enough to cause actual outward flow but a horrid odor due to dead blood. Guess the point is..whatever it is causing it? It isn't normal. Watch your temp, and see your doc. starshine Happy slave of Master Delvin

How about letting things settle down and heal? With all that is going on down there, sounds like sex may be the last thing you should be having. Anyway, instead of asking us non medical people. Go have it checked out.

Antibiotics can actually cause yeast infections to occur, actually there is usually a label on the antibiotics saying that. And yeast infections can and do cause a nasty smell.
