Random and slightly unrelated.

At 24, myself and my Owner are among about 4 people my age that I know that don't have huge credit card debt that is totally unrelated to school debt. Some people I know are in hundereds of thousands of dollars.

I don't -get- it. Did their parents never tell them that you have to pay -back- the money on a credit card? I have a credit card, which I use with some frequency. It is -always- paid off by the end of the month. I think in the four years I've had it, there's been maybe 30 or 40 dollars that I've let sit long enough theyv'e charged me interest.

I don't get how kids my age get into so much debt. It seems like it'sa fairly self-explanatory thing-- you borrow money, you pay it back, otherwise they charge you monster interest.

I don't get it.

There is a person who wrote about "how to go about collecting" Your right, you have to set out to help, not hinder them more. I don't do consumer collections, but it is along the same lines, the only difference in what I do and some of my friends do is the amount and what it takes. Myself, I flat out tell them I will freeze all assets till paid, no payment from the job they are working on now. I did although get a lesson in consumer when I went to help a friend out at her company. The first question out of a collectors mouth should be "How can I help you resolve this matter and still be able to maintain?" or as he said "what happened that it came to this?"
