Pimpernell -> RE: Is It Possible for D/D? (9/3/2006 10:49:54 AM)

Yes.  All relationships have to deal with the same issues, regardless of orientation or status.

Mind you, it raises the serious question,  how do you go about punishing a female D when she doesn't do what she is told?

Silly!  You don't TELL a "D" what to do!!!

I have issues with poly after trying it years back, so it would not work for me.

You bow down and ask her forgiveness for trying to tell her what to do in the first place. [;)]

It's a good thing no one has issues with mono relationships huh? Damn, can you imagine? What a nightmare, the world would be full of single people!!

I tried to make it work for three years-it drove me bonkers.

At least I can say I tried, unlike most who don't do poly.

SavageEu -> RE: Is It Possible for D/D? (9/3/2006 11:28:15 PM)

I just wanted to chime in because I love to be part of the crowd, and the answer is certainly. My wife is very Dom.. was a Pro at one time even.

mp072004 -> RE: Is It Possible for D/D? (9/4/2006 7:34:22 AM)

If it isn't, I'm in trouble. It likely only works if both people are poly--I haven't heard of a couple where both were dominant and monogamous.

Is it possible for two Dominant people to have a relationship?

Yep I know a couple that are D/D that have been together for at least 20 years.

TheShadows -> RE: Is It Possible for D/D? (9/4/2006 10:49:59 PM)

Yes, it's very possible, but not for everyone.  My husband and I have been married almost 5 years, and we enjoy every minute with each other.  When it comes to the lifestyle, we're partners in crime.  Rarely do we have power struggles, and when we do, it's over who's going to cook supper or do the dishes, or something else that's totally mundane.  Playtimes bring us closer together.  We teach each other and learn from each other.  It works out great for us.  We have a great time together just being the proverbial bachelors right now - having fun scenes with good friends, as the opportunities arise, who just happen to be subs/slaves.

As always, YMMV...

The same way you punish a Male Dom when he doesn't do what he is told. You don't! We have never had a situation where we didn't discuss issues and worked out the proper approach to something based on the merits of both alternatives. Certainly there have been discussions and a few compromises, but no one is ever totally right, or totally wrong, so we embrace those differences and use them as positive opinions, jointly choosing which is the best approach. Arguments?....they just don't exist, that's the difference from nilla...there is no power struggle, there is only what is best for the "whole".
