I am not talking about paying for a professional domination interaction, I'm talking about paypalling or sending cash to a total stranger on the net because that's what they demanded.

I want to know who has done this, and what happened when they did.  Any good success stories?  Any horror stories? What was the amount and why did you send it?

This one time, in band camp, I sent all the money I had saved from selling lemonade all summer on the roof of my house to the neighbour next door. And she licked my bicks.

For free. ;-)

But I demanded nothing.

Or, as I have heard, Dommes have registries (the example I was told was on Amazon) to help with the selection when tribute is not in cash. How prevalent is this practice as well? Any stories?

(My apologies, AAkasha, for the minor hijack. I like to think it's amplification of the question. )

I have never done this and am not aware of anyone that has at present. Though the registry is quite a surprise. It leaves me to wonder if submissives are doing the same.

Never paid a tribute to anyone in a D/s sense.  I do have registries at a few clothing places and toy stores.  These are primarily so I can keep track of my own wish lists and they make great birthday, anniversary, Valentines day and Christmas gift ideas.  I make my husband tribute to me regularly I guess.  I don't require tribute of anyone else but if someone is dying to give me all their cash, they can paypal it to gimmeallyourcash at thengoaway.com

Mavis,

ROTFLMAO!  Too damned funny.  Exactly what I was thinking though.  Why would anyone come forward and say they did unless they've learned not to ever do that again...lol!  Wouldn't they be afraid that it would bring out all the financial predators...lol

Required 'tributes' are for fools.

And I'm quite sure there's no shortage of those.

Well, the OP doesn't really have a history of doing that kind of negative behavior, so I'm going to believe it's just a curiosity until I discover otherwise.

I pay proper tribute to tribute seekers by allowing them to co-exist around me. When I get slammed over the head repeatedly with their empty moneybags and forced to endure their rational or beautiful explanations of the money kink and it's benefits to society, I do tend to feel much less conservative about their co-existence.

Intense multi-faceted, often rose-colored fervor of their quest(s) for satisfaction and validity simultaneously leaves me very moved... moved in any direction away from the ensuing melt-down, if at all possible.  It is quite fair to say there are idiots on both sides of money trees, both the grubbers and the givers.

While I can co-exist with them rather easily, I do not practice money kinks and it matters little how many attempts are/are not made to "buy me off"...

I bet you're right....that's probably where they came up with that saying "a fool and his money are easily parted".

Seeing it's useless, Mavis tucks her dollar back inside her bra and moves quietly to the back of the room .. "so much for exploring that kink", she mutters..

i'm still waiting for those who will actually admit if they did...i mean...with all this talk of how there is no shortage of fools...there has to be at least one fool here who will be fool-ish enough, to blantantly admit it...ah come on...ya mean there aren't any fools here foolishly reading this thread to give that ultimate foolish answer?  No? How foolish of me to assume....ah...LOL!
