I see so many books references here. Any suggestions on these great books to be viewed online? Not downloaded? There are so many that I've really wanted to explore, yet I don't want those who view my library to see them.  I have younger relative unmentionables that loves to run out and collect my mail for me. I've no desire to answer any of their questions regarding my preferences in topics.

Your question is a very good one and I'm afraid I don't really have any answers.

However, as an adult you should be able to have whatever possessions you want in your house.  Books that come to your mail will be in boxes and don't have to be opened in front of anyone, and "secret things" can be kept in bedroom drawers or locked trunks- where all the vanillas keep their sex toys and tapes and books.

If you truly desire simply to protect others rather than not pay the authors for their work, contact the publishers, I am sure www.greenerypress.com would be more than happy to assure you they package things so they don't telegraph the contents, or get a PO box...

Thank you Crappy, I'm willing to pay extra for the ability to remain discreet, rather than have to make some excuse about a package I choose not to explain in the first place. Although I love my relatives, they ask more quetions that are none of their business than most people. I say this often, but it's just so true.... I don't mind people knowing who I'm bedding, just not what I do while I'm in there.
New signature line eh? How do I make one LOL

I don't mind people knowing who I'm bedding, just not exactly what I'm doing while I'm in there

You could go to one of those book store chains that encourage people to use the big comfy chairs and flip though the book.  You could go to one out of your area. You could also borrow one from someone at munch and hide it in the car and find a corner of a parking lot to flip through it.

DomSA -> RE: online book suggestions (9/7/2006 4:39:49 PM)

We ordered John Warren's The Loving Dominant and Miller/Devon's Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns both from Barnes & Noble.  Even got the member's discount.  They were shipped in a plain brown box just like any other book order.  Keeping them hidden in your house from unmentionables is a whole other story....

Casie -> RE: online book suggestions (9/7/2006 6:09:43 PM)

I have order books that I didn't want anyone to see even when I still lived with my parents. I just kept them tucked away. DomSA Screw the roses send me thorns is a really good read" I haven't read The loving dominant....worth adding to my liabary?

CrappyDom -> RE: online book suggestions (9/7/2006 6:12:21 PM)

Casie,

I think "The Loving Dominant" is overrated, however, The Bottoming Book as well as The Topping Book are fantastic books and quite inexpensive.

subsa -> RE: online book suggestions (9/7/2006 7:25:04 PM)

The following is from DomSA - took over the computer from my sub...

Casie...I found "The Loving Dominant" to be very informational.  Very similar to "Screw the Roses".  But then my opinion is you can never read too much information.

CrappyDom...I have heard about those two books and actually have them on my "to read" list.  They are also available from Barnes & Noble.  I just didn't want to have too many boxes of books show up all at once.

There are all sorts of PDFS to download thru amazon books. And if you do a search for books to download i'm sure you'll find some. I found Story of O and a couple from Anne Rice that were d/l.
if i find the links again i'll post them.

There are a few D/s books available through Limewire if you search by author. I also have the Beauty trilogy by Anne Rice and several books by Marquis de Sade. They are all in .pdf format. If you're interested in receiving them please feel free to send a message.

i have seen sites where they give you an option to pay for a book online and then download it to your computer.  If i can dig up the links i will let you know.  Do you want "how to books" or "story" books??

velvetears -> RE: online book suggestions (9/8/2006 1:28:20 PM)

You could also go to a book store with titles and author and order the book, have them hold it and come in to pick the book up. No shipping it to your house.

Depending on what you're looking for, there's a wealth of amazing bdsm/leather writing being done in blogs, including fiction and non-fiction. What are you looking for?  Traditional books are only one place to fill a kinky reading fix... Here are a few suggestions for people who write great stuff (Bethany's is the only "pay-for" site with serialized stories, the rest are free) - if you want more, feel free to email me.
