Our situation is a bit different as we are a married Mistress & Master. We have absolute respect, tolerance and patience for each other. We also realize that each of us is an individual with their own Ds dynamics before we married as well as after. Dominant Women as well as submissive women deserve the same amount of respect simply because they are human beings, we believe. We treat people with courtesy and hope to be treated the same. We prefer female submissives or submissive couples only. We have been in this lifestyle for many, many years and do have the time and desire to deal with people who are insincere.... M.Dread- I am not sure I understand exactly what you are asking, but I'll give it a try anyway. Please forgive me if I've misunderstood. Dominant women are some of my favorite people in the world. I have very dear friendships with a few, and respect many that I know. I do know several that I consider to 'just not get it', but I could say the same of some dominant males. MizSuz, of course, is truly in a class all her own. I can thing of no one I hold in higher regard. I have had occaision to consider that I may in fact be her in a prior incarnation. As to submissive women, They are some of my favorite people in the world. I have very dear friendships with a few, and respect many that I know. I'm a straight Dom male, and it is My nature to seek and hold submissive/slave women. (With submissives, My goal is to develop them into slaves. I respect Doinant women who are honest about themselves and who are themselves straightforward with their own alaves, whether male of female, as I try to be. I have noted a difference in the dynamic of Dommes and their slaves, versus male Doms and their slaves. ---When slaves pledge themselves to Males, it is as to a journey, a way of life in which they will be transformed, where transformation is a destination. ---when slaves pledge to females it isoften for the domination itself....just to the simple process of being used, hurt and degraded: those acts themselves are destination enough for slaves who bend to Females. It's as if they want their entire life to be bound up in their submission, in their being used. It's as if the transformation is just to makee them accept that there will be nothig more to their life than hurt and shame, and they rejoice in denial. In a way, I think that kind of dominance may be a purer form than Male Doms seek to provide. Perhaps we Males should simplify our approach to the powerful, no wasted words mode of Female Doms. Ads from Males often promise 'development", "improvement", a "cherishing" of the slave where the Female wants one willing to just suffer, obey, be shamed and shut up. This may be a bald interpretation of a Female Dominant's approach, but think how many ads by Females say essentially that. About male sub/slaves, I have no sexual interest, but I wonder if male sub/slaves find it thrilling when a Domme (or for that matter Dom) offers only hard pain/cold humiliation, heartless use?

I have a very close switch friend which may develop into something more, and I find her Dominant aspects to be quite enchanting, even more so because she wishes to submit to me... I dont have a problem with either Dominant or submissive women or men. Sinergy

I am a very dominant/master male. My only interest is that of female slaves. I can tolerate and work with submissive slaves. I consider a submissive slave one who simpily accepts the way things are and does exactly what her master wishes, whether it be to please herself, her master, to avoid punishment, or whatever. However I find a dominant slave to be much more enjoyable. When I say diminant slave, I mean a slave with a strong will power. A slave who is willing and wants to be a slave, but also wants to let her dominant personality show throw. A slave with a willpower if you will. I find it enjoyable to force the slave, test there limits, and not just have them submit. The ultimate goal of a master, in my opinion, is to get the slave to submit. If the slave has already submitted, the masters job is half over. I am not sure this was what you were asking but it seemed to me everyone had a different style answer anyways this is just my version [;)]

There are slaves that fight and wrestle with their submission, but that doesn't make them dominant. If they are dominant, they aren't slaves.

I would suggest you not apply the word Dominant to a slave and then append some alternate meaning to it. The words Dominant / Master / slave / submissive, etc., all have rather specific meanings in the Lifestyle. A Dominant slave would be a slave who dominates in the relationship, which seems contradictory to me. A slave with a strong will power is a slave with a strong will power. There is no need, in my opinion, to find other descripters for it since those words describe it perfectly. Additionally, it is dangerous to use descriptors that have other specific meanings (such as the word Dominant) to people in the Lifestyle. I have posted elsewhere that a strong-willed person who submits to me causes a profound high for me. Sinergy

LOL..I will deal with the Wiz in a minute over his thoughts. It's been a little over a year since I classed myself a Master, but I have very dominant traits when it comes to dealing with people in general for years. The sub/slave who wears my collar and holds my name to hers is treated as an equal with respect of who she is, what she displays of herself and what I want her to be for Me at a given point and time. I have earned that from her as I'm told because of the way and the manner I conduct O/our relationship. She is in no way a door mat or treated as such..well ok maybe in a quick role play but only then grinz. Of the other Dom/mes and subs/slave that I know.. I am listening to what they say because I have come to learn that they are sharing the experience of others they learned from. Of the Doms/Masters here, Estring is one who opinions are similar to mine many times and I enjoy them and learn from them...ty Estring. As for Wiz, what are we to think. I have come across other posts you've written.. both my slave and I have sat here and shook O/our heads in dismay at what W/we've read. As I sit here writing this my slave is frothing at the bit to string you up and thrash you but because of her respect for MistressDREAD she will refrain from posting her thoughts. I cannot say I disagree with what I hear in my ear....you need much much more experience. No one can compel another to submit, no one can be turned in to a slave.... my job as you so like to refer to as a Master is never over...it is constant and on going and never ending. The bond between a Master/Mistress and their slave is one of trust, respect and honesty...without them the relationship would not exsist.

I beleive what Wiz is speaking on is not a Dominant slave but a Alpha slave which is not the same thing but I beleive is what He is speaking of. A slave does not self serve as a submissive or Switch does and even a Alpha slaves position is to serve and please the Dominants it serves but in a Commanding stance for the betterment of the whole. There are Alpha slaves whom are used in the chain of command in a Poly Home and see over the other slaves and I beleive this could be what He is using in a mono format. Alpha slaves tend to be a bit less subjudicant and have sum Commanding traits that can direct other slaves below them for the Dominants over the Alpha slave. There are even Chain of Commands within the Dominant structure that are much the same with a Alpha Dominant sitting over other Dominants.
