KenDckey -> RE: War on Bathtubs (9/16/2006 9:06:40 AM)

ok  if you insist but don't let the anti-blow up tubs crowd know what we are going to do

I didn't know we had to choose a side.  I have always abhorred taking sides by avoiding both, hence my love of online communication.

What i find almost predictable about the war in afganistan is how the chickenhawks said that the heroin problem will be almost eliminated once we invade afganistan. Now...there is a record bumper crop of heroin poppies to flood the world with the deadly drug.

The same type of military people who ran smack in Vietnam must be happy.

gooddogbenji -> RE: War on Bathtubs (9/16/2006 9:24:53 AM)

And what, if I may ask, does this have to do with bathtubs?

Yours,

benji

As a basin-ist, I wash my hands of this thread. I could make a point and fawcet on you all, but it would be a drain on me and not something I wish to tap into.

Up with basins, down with baths and showers!

     Oh, how I crave a tub large enough to really soak in.  I can get the top half under water if I put my feet halfway up the front wall.

    And Benji, that comment has as much to do with bathtubs as it does with what it says on the DD214 he waves to gain credibility.

My second husband and I had a big garden tub in the house we lived in.  When we divorced I moved away.  Damn I miss that tub.

cuddleheart50 -> RE: War on Bathtubs (9/16/2006 9:44:45 AM)

I have a big garden tub, and I love it!!!  Fill it full of bubbles, candles all around the tub, and soak...Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

WyrdRich -> RE: War on Bathtubs (9/16/2006 10:02:28 AM)

    My vote for the best tub goes to Bagby Hot Springs in the Cascade Mountains.  Hollowed out logs of cedar, 9 feet long and 2 deep, filled from a 150 degree spring channeled down a trough outside the bath house.  You have to haul cold water in 5 gallon buckets, but well worth the effort.

Out here in the desert we use stock tanks to soak and bathe in.

No wonder women smell better..hehehe

KenDckey -> RE: War on Bathtubs (9/16/2006 10:08:38 AM)

Hey it is coed and cloths optional   Most of us just go skinny dipping in them.   and when the sun shins down on them the water is nice and warm.   they are above ground stock tanks of black polymers so it is wonderful.  I want to get one   a 8'x3' deep one is someting like $300   lots cheaper and easier to maintain than a pool

cuddleheart50 -> RE: War on Bathtubs (9/16/2006 10:13:25 AM)

Sounds like fun Ken, but I'll keep my garden tub...[:D]
