Or how about these literal last words:

"Better Here Than Philadelphia"

(Actual epitaph on WC Field's grave stone.)

In the theater dying means your act did not work, the audience
did not like it. So this famous quote.

Sir Donald Wolfit, the last of the great English actor/managers,
was lying on his death bed, one of his young actors said to him:

"Sir Donald, after a life so filled with success and fame, dying must be hard..."

To which Sir Donald replied: "Dying is easy... Comedy is hard"

Thomas Jefferson:  "Please pass the Charmin"

My old history teacher would tell us that one, because, in some sick way, the idea of death by diarrhea amused the hell out of him.

I'm a lighting (and occasional sound) tech, I do shows, club nights and allsorts, both paid and for fun.... I've had many famous last words..

"Switch it off and on again, and it will be fine.."

"it all worked lastnight, what could go wrong"

"We sorted the fire alarm out, it won't go off" (It trips the speaker amplifiers out when it goes out, and its a 10 minute job to get it all going... not fun with a 1100 crowed)

"Is this safe to unplug?" (Before switching the sound desk off acidentally, again 1200 crowed minimum)

"I'm sure I turned the power off"...... (you can guess)
