My sweet one was sleeping on the floor tonight until about an hour ago when I got up. I then told her to take my place in the bed. This is not because she is submissive to my wife and I, it is more out of necessity. We have found that while all 3 of us can fit in the bed and it can be quite cozy for about an hour, we then find each of us elbowing one another throughout the night. My sweet one has said that she does not mind the floor and that she actually sleeps better there without all of us in the bed together, I think it is probably because she is the one in the middle getting the elbows from both sides. LOL I wake up early to work on my writing and check e-mail and I will tell her to get in the bed and get some sleep. I think we need to buy a king size bed instead of the queen we currently have.

I don't see making anyone "sleep" on the floor, but there are times when there is more room on the floor for other activities (weg).

I have a hard enough time sleeping period. I have heard many responses about wanting a slave nearby and close for use. What i am trying to understand is why you wouldn't want your slave next to you. Thats about as close as you can get. I wouldn't be able to sleep on the floor. And then after hours of no sleep, the next day i would be of no use to anyone. I am fortunate in that my Dom wants me next to him and it would never even come up. He understands my sleeping issues and tries to make me comfy. A rested girl and a happy girl is one who can serve better, IMO. I also would never have choosen to be with a dom that would require me to sleep on the floor. Thats how important a good nights sleep is to me. On the other hand if it makes the Dom and slave happy, then that is great. There is someone for everyone.

Sleeping on the floor. It all depends on the mood. If they have earned the right to sleep in Our bed thats different. Untill that point its would be the floor, then the foot of the bed

Sir and i found out the first night we tried to sleep together that we suck at it. Both of us have slept alone for a long time. i have a nice comfy mattress topper that i pull out for when He visits. He gets the bed and i sleep on the floor. If He wakes and wants me it's as easy as Him telling me to get in bed with Him. lil_joy

Personally, in my time with my Dom I have never been made to sleep on the floor, and I appreciate that. I know he could ask me to do so at any time should he so choose, so I am greatful that I get to share the bed with him. I like to be close, it makes me feel safe- plus, he always falls asleep with one hand on top of me, so there is no question that my place is underneath him, and it reassures me beyond words. This has been a really interesting thread for me to read, and many thanks for that. behindmirrors.

For me it is an absolute form of discipline and I'll make my sub do it any chance I can get.
