Hello, Now, I know what you're saying gawd not her again hehe. But today I have a serious topic. I was recently in one of my favorite chatrooms. When the subject of my "kink," came up. You see I am an infantilist, among other things. And many times people seem to amaze me by asuming so easily. What happened? I was told that my "kink," envolved pedophilia. To which I replied a resounding, "Oh hell no!" And then the poster proceeded to tell me that I am unhealthy. I know this is the interenet, and I must take some things with a grain of salt. However, this is just one thing that erks the hell out of me. To be so arogant to simply asume one is right, with out having any knowlegde period... Whatever happened to just asking? Rather than asuming? This is not the first time or last time this has happened to me. I don't care if I sound like I am whining, this is something I felt I needed to say.

Was this a sudoku chatroom? Well, what did you expect? Seriously, the audience you are 'with' at the time can have any number of reactions, depending on what you believe is their knowledge level. Ageplay isn't my sort of deal, but I can honestly say at my first exposure to the Lifestyle at an evening event with probably 100 or more people, I met an adult baby, bottle, diapers and all. I clearly saw this wasn't, as I said, 'my deal', but it clued me in to the fact that my mind was going to be opened to all sorts of possibilities. But I'm not the sort to judge. I know what the common understanding of infanticide is and to link that with pedophilia is like comparing apples to oranges. However, given the common understanding of the term, I can also see why people would naturally be concearned. So, in order to get a better understanding of where you are coming from, I would like to know from you what your interest and involvement is as it seems that what you call infantilist and what the common term implies doesn't seem to be the same. Or have I made another one of those "amazing" assumptions?

Only you can determine whether you are a healthy well adjusted and happy person. If you have connected relationships with others, have low anxiety levels, feel comfortable with yourself in your own skin I would not worry about it. I have said this before and I will say it again, because of my dynamic people assume I am into ageplay... Im not, but it has opened my eyes to the level of vitriolic spew that comes at people who do engage in this practice. It is amazing to me how someone that enjoys being tied up and beaten can turn around and tell me I am sick because I have a Daddy. I am not saying there is anything wrong with being tied up and beaten (I love that too), it is just that mainstream people think those who are masochists are all sick, so it amazes me that someone can judge someone else that engages in consensual adult kink of any sort that does not involve anyone below the age of consent. Collarme is one of the few places where age play and infant play is ok and not ridiculed or shoved away (at least publicly). Otherwise online, it's a very touchy type of play for many and not generally understood or accepted by the bdsm community at large.

Well, I have to say that "adult babies" is something I am COMPLETELY not into - in fact, it's a hard limit of mine. Why? Because a) I have two young kids, I was not particularly fond of changing their diapers, and the memory of it is still quite fresh in my mind; and b) one of those kids went through a stage of literally painting the walls, the furniture, his toys and himself with his own crap, every damn day, for like four months. Kind of put me off every thing to do with diapers or diapering forever. {I do realize that's not what infantilism is all about, it's just the association for me.} I would be interested to know what you find so appealing in it though?

Thanks everyone, I feel a whole lot better.. After having calmed down a bit. CherieP to awnser your question... I take hold of my inner child, why? Because hell it's just fun sometimes hehe. Also for me it can be a humbling, humilating experince that I frankly get a kick out of. being forced to wear diapers, and to not only use them, but to be treated like an ADULT toddler is a thrill. Not to mention the bondage aspect envolved, can make you feel really safe, confined, and enthrawled at the same time. I've been in subspace, I had a non ABDL (adult baby and or diaper lover) relationship for five years. While I did enjoy some aspects, I had always felt like something was missing... I wasn't sure what it was until I discovered age play, and then infantilism... There's a comfort about it that I've never felt before... Edited to add after blushing and reconsidering... Yes, it is also a very submissive feeling... I give up alot of control to a dominant... And it's not just about regressing for me... That's something I like to do some of the time, not all the time.

FR A large majority of subs say that part of what they enjoy about submission is the opportunity to not have to think, not have to make decisions, not have to worry, not have to be active, not have to do the things normally expected of them. Take this to an extreme and you have a baby- a being who has as few expectations as possible, and absolutely no obligations or responsibilities, and pretty much unconditional love and attention. It's not the only reason or motivation, but I find it's the easiest way to get people who don't understand that type of play.
