Understanding the original post, i would say list 2.
My reason by example is as follows.
Master told me the other night that He wanted me to go to the service station, scantily dressed and get a drink. The catch was i was i wouldnt have any money, i would have to convince the checkout guy "somehow" to let me have it.
i was a little taken aback by this i must admit.

He then said,"But if you can think of a good enough reason not to do it, and it is the right reason, i will not require you to do the task."
Well.....i didnt need to ask the audience on this one!!!
My reply was, "There is no valid reason that i cannot do this task, if you request that i do it."

No visit to the service station was needed

a very big THANK YOU to everyone who responded.....as always, it is interesting and educational to read how others would respond to the aforementioned scenario, as well as which list the submissives/slaves here would be more apt to show to their Master/Mistress/Owner. it often helps to understand where someone else is "coming from"when they compare what each would do in a hypothetical situation, rather than insinuate oneself into each other's reality, or ask for a definition of terms of which can be an emotional minefield all by itself.

Putting self in the same aforementioned scenario:

Master would have a list presented to Him at the door upon His arrival ONLY if He had instructed His slave to do so, so by greeting Him at the door with a list of His slave's desires, this slave would expect to be punished for disobeying the already agreed upon rule "Master's pleasure is paramount." this slave would expect that Master would want an explanation of her misbehavior and that would depend on which list this slave had written.

If this slave had written list one, she would expect to be released immediately.
If this slave had written list two, she would explain that after reading some of the posts on the message boards at her favorite BDSM site, she felt more convinced than ever that she had made the right choice when she agreed to be His slave, it must have been a heavily hormone-influenced day making it close to impossible to think straight and beg for forgiveness for her disobedience in presenting her "affirmation of faith" in such a disrespectful manner.

Ok, I would have to pick #2. But in the scheme of things, isn't this what most of us strive for to a certain extent? So this would already be set in motion. It wouldn't be something I would have to present him with later.

In the end, if he is happy then I am happy. And if he is displeased, like you said, it "is the most uncomfortable feeling I have ever felt".

I am definitely a list #1 type of girl, but I would have given the Dom the list before we got to the point where I was greeting him at the door.

One of my first instructions was how to greet Sir when He arrives home. Any lists that would have been given, would have been given to me to arrange prior to his arrival.
With that being said... If I were to present a list like #1 you could be sure that those requests would go to the bottom of Sirs' list of priorities, so that i would be reminded of just who was in control. I would strive to be like #2 but He even allows how much I am able to serve and please Him. Sir says "there is right way and a wrong way and His way" we do things His way.
What kind of sub am I?
