Most hardware stores carry galvanized, welded steel rings.

Nickel plated ones are pretty common in hardware stores. While not crafted of the finest metals, at least they're shiny. :)

Marine supply stores are also a good place for snaps, swivels, rings, etc. Between them and Tandy Leather, a crafty person can do great things on a minimal budget. :)

Tandy leather does have all the things you want, in various sized, but they tend to be pricy.

Lowe's and Home Depot have enough in the way of O-rings, D-rings, pullies, chains, rods, snaps and other simmilar things that most bondage people will be in rapture. I know I am when I go in there.

You want to get Nickle Plated items any time you can. If not, get Brass. Galvanized steel will blacken your skin if it's against you. Some are allergic to Zinc which is what a lot of the hardware stuff is coated with. Stainless steel is expensive (I bought some snap hooks, like on the end of leashes a while back. They were $6.50 EACH. The Nickle coated equivelants were $.98 each.) so nickle is probably the best option.

If possible, and the O ring is going to be in an area that sweats a lot, I would probably bite the bullet and buy the Stainless.

Thanks for the replies - I didn't want to go into Home Depot as ask if they have them, as it is always in the back of my mind "they know what I want them for".

Thank goodness they have self checkout now.

What's wrong with home depot? Has just about everything I need when makeing home made floggers and bondage frames. PVC, vynle tubing, duct tape, wires with and without the insulation, electricle tape, zip ties, fan chains, chains, rope, and such. Come on it's Home Depot, something I'd like to call Doms Depot. Be creative and have fun. Home Depo is the Doms candy store to a child.

I know that I have a Lowes and a Home Depot right across the street from each other almost and I have some Kinky Ideas for my next visit wooden spreader bars!!! that are lathed to look good and you know if i go through with just those Items they might wonder why I'm getting just the 2 or 3 items i need to get for them I might just get som D-rings and some double ended spring hook things you know like the plastic ones that are oftem made for key rings so you can just detach that set of keys from you belt? and then go looking for 1-1.5" wide leather and make some cuffs and a collar to go with my new spreader bars!!!!! speaking of which anyone know where to get some leather like that? becasues I doubt Lowes and Doms Depot will have the leather? and I don't remeber seeing it in Hancocks the last time I was there.....

Wal-Mart has some nice brass o-rings in the craft department ... You can also find some very decent hand cuffs in the toy department for under $ 4 ... Really !

Well, let's see: I make collars and cuffs like that, can do things like hogties, am going to try to start making harnesses (pony and human), and the buckles lock, and I'm not THAT expensive. I can do spreader bars if you want.

Other than that, you have to go to Tandy Leather, buy a whole lot of tools to make one set of cuffs or collar. I know, I spent nearly $200 in materials and tools to enable to make a shoulder harness and collar/cuffs. Now it's inexpensive, but each two weeks I spend about $150 or so for more materials or tools.

Making your own leather is not a cheep hobby, but you can make what you want, how you want it.

What you want is Latigo Leather, it's heavy, it's flexable, and it's for restraining horses. It's what saddle makers use. It's about $24 or so for a two inch wide, by six foot long strip, which can be cut down into other straps for collar and cuffs.

Already made? Only at adult stores, online or possibly a variety of belts/pet collars in various sizes.

And so what if the merchants you are buying things from know what you are going to use it for? You are putting your money into their pocket. If they say anything, get them in trouble with the managers/owners. You are the customer here and you are spending your money with them.

Heck, I met a girl into BDSM in Tandy, she works there. She and I swap tips on where to go for business.
