Empty Keyboard

I fingered the keyboard, press against me,
Letter me; dot me with your courses
One after another, pound down on me
Drive me into a string spinning round
Its focus binding noun and verb.
Receive me, carved from aether
Vibration of an empty lovesong.
Like doves wings submerged
Beating noiselessly without air
Struggling for flight.
Holding on me bid me stay
In your empty cup
With no religion or any limit
No rapture tonight..
Just sleep on this imperfect day
The flowers weep beneath me
Making no particular sound
As I press against the finger
An empty line...
