willow06 -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (9/28/2006 2:49:23 PM)

mistoferin said it first, but I'd go with durian.

Rumtiger -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (9/28/2006 5:13:24 PM)

Yep Erin got it, Durian, which is also known as jackfruit. I woulda made the hint that it's known for smelling like dogshit lol.

I gotta get ready to go out, more game later on.

Najakcharmer -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (9/28/2006 5:23:37 PM)

Durian and jackfruit are two different things.  I eat both of them, and I like durian much better.  In fact I had durian for lunch today.  Delicious.

Jackfruit is Artocarpus heterophyllus, and durian is Durio zibethinus.  Both are quite good,  but jackfruit lacks the extremely pungent aroma possessed by a nicely ripe durian.

Pimpernell -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (9/29/2006 6:41:17 AM)

Jackfruit ice cream is very nice.

Okay, well after seeing my mistress I decided to go and hit a bar...or two...ahem..or five...

So anyway I've woken up about an hour ago (2pm) And i've got a hangover from hell, so naturally i'm gonna go make my certian cure for this, normally my family's remedy would be menudo, but frankly I cant stand the smell of the stuff.

So new food...tomato based, and any italian would know it has a role in a song talking about a certian Angelina. Commonly it is made from the leftovers of another dish, me? I like to make it from scratch.

So, what is it i'm having to make...shit I need to go get wine.

Creep Level - 1 you can find this in a good resturaunt or even canned.

Don't think any of these are what you had in mind, but maybe you want to add one or more to your feast recipes, or just keep in mind for the next time you are so undisciplined ...

minestrone?

Another point for you.

I personally like Black Minestrone, make a regular batch without any wine, keep it in the fridge overnight, then the next day when its all reduced put in a bunch of dark wine [like pinot noir] as the rest of the liquid and cook for a while, makes a signifigantly darker soup.

Rumtiger -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (10/1/2006 6:56:58 PM)

Man, I forgot I have to keep this thing going, was just having a little fun the past couple days.

hm...lets go with something I just had for dinner no mroe than 10 minutes ago, decided to hit a buffet, which are seemingly the only places in vegas to get these thing in bulk. These are always cooked here, but I heard people dont mind eating them raw back where they are caught. To describe them I have to say they look like miniature versions of something bigger.

Creep level - 2 Cause for some reason people always look at me weird when I eat them.

willow06 -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (10/1/2006 6:59:11 PM)

Hey...no fair!  I didn't even know you were starting.

Rumtiger -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (10/1/2006 7:05:11 PM)

Aileen68 -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (10/1/2006 7:10:35 PM)

Give a fucking countdown next time.

mistoferin -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (10/1/2006 7:14:11 PM)

Geez....and I thought maybe he was in a coma from his hangover still.......

Rumtiger -> RE: Drumroll please...Tigers Feast II!!! (10/1/2006 7:20:47 PM)

Okay okay lemme think...some of this stuff is hard to describe you know?

Okay, hmm...

Which particular animal this comes from is not really important, typically deep fried it's texture is something which would actually sound pretty good, crunchy on the outside, creamy and soft on the inside.

Creep Level - hmm..I'll give it a.....6
