*quick reply* I chalk it up to two people who fail to communicate their desire in a straight forward manner. This in turn has left one mildly frustrated and the other getting exactly what they wanted by way of a loop hole by which to jump through. Hardly a scenario good for the whole.

I liked this and it gave me something to think about all day. It wasn't until I was making dinner tonight that what went on hit me. Simply put, the sub in question was not focused on pleasing the Dominant in question but was focused on what he/she could do for him/her.

You need to find yourself a new s-type? Changing the situation doesn't change that the s-type in the dialog is disobeying in spirit, if not in actual, spesific letter. I don't see how changing the situation changes anything except that, as has as someone has already alluded to, it seems odd to reward someone for living up to a mutual agreement. And, its problematic to play word games in the act of breaking a mutual agreement.

i don't have rules against playing with others. Nor rules about who to chat, mail or IM with. He says "I only own what I own. If you give it to another, I never really owned it after all, did I?" Leaves that ball squarely in my court, works for U/us. One question, why is the spank thing offered with each discussion? Aren't there any parts of this dynamic that aren't related to carrots?

i'm wondering why everyone thinks the spankings are a punishment. It states clearly that the spankings are a reward and that the sub received a reward because they were not honest with the Dom. What has happened here? A lack of communication and a smart assed masochist. The Dom should have realized the sub was going to disobey no matter what and that a lesson needed to be taught in one way or another. Specifying instructions is fine, but in this situation, the sub knew that what they were doing was wrong and were trying to get away with something.
