it too was Hamlet.. not sure which Act.... hmmmm....Act II Scene 2 according to Google <wink>

Also, I wasn't even aware there was a new version of MOV - but my finger is far from the ever beating pulse of culture lol - unless you consider South Park and the History Channel... culture <g> Yes, we're depraved, ermm deprived even, here in North East PA.

Though Sherri has promised to introduce me to the wonderful world of Opera one of these days - and Apple Martoonis to boot, I'm sure.. perhaps a French lesson or two as well? (Tres bon ma belle amie!) It would be wonderful if you would join us, and mayhaps Lawrence too... afterall, any excuse to go to NYC is a good one in my book - martooni or no martooni :)

best
Joshua

NYC is doable, although here at the house would enable sherri to concoct her tooni's at her leisure. Of course, that would mean I'd have to get serious about straightening up the house - but it's time anyway. <smile>

As for the new MOV - Pacino as shylock, Jeremy Irons as antonio & Joseph Fiennes as bassanio (although the critics are saying that Lynn Collins as Portia steals the show). I'm interested in seeing how they treat the anti-semitism. I'm told they are fairly true to the original so it's possible that contemporary audiences will be offended or not understand the nuances. Check it out here: http://www.sonypictures.com/classics/merchantofvenice/flash.html

Give me my pound of FLESH! hahahahahaa

Speaking about trust and credibility, threatening to leave is shallow

As for the effect of anyone leaving this site....

The cacophony of sound would be equivalent to the din of millions, clapping with one hand.
Or....
If a tree fell in the woods and nobody heard it, would it make a sound?

LOL, So, Merc are you saying you wouldn't miss me? So much for my fake/attention getting tantrum. I just wanted people to stop taking self so seriously.
I would hug all of the people on this thread though... Okay, onto the song in my head about love making the world go around... I imagine even more effectively with a lot of kink involved. M

What she REALLY means is that here at the house would enable everyone to fall down and not have to worry about driving after my martooni's. Yeah, so they're not for lightweights. That's what's so fun about them! *grin*

Pheuw.. found the thread - like MisSuz I thought I was losing my mind lol I knew I didn't do *that* many drugs in College :)

...and no we can't possibly forget the inari... maybe even add some edamame to add a bit of color :)

Yummmmm... Inari, martoonis, a comfy place to fall down... sounds like a plan to me. Perhaps you'll initiate me into the esoteric world of opera via la stereo du Maison (how'd I do??? lol). Now if we can only find a weekend that works :)

xoxoxo

Reality is, I thought I was addressing "nella". But in truth it was a general frustration. My position on threatening to leave however is accurate.

I agree with ya Merc. I've been on the internet in some form or another since 1986 or 87. I learned real quick one needs a thick skin to make it a poleasurable experience. Bravado tends to be amplified behind the safety of a keyboard and the anonymity of a screename - and one cannot be overly sensitive to the opining of others.

Anyhow, I'm glad Nella decided to stay and I hope she takes to heart that there can be misunderstandings and disagreements and even the occasional flaming - but attaching one's ego to one's posts is just begging for torment (self-torment mostly).

Now who's got that cup of tea? Fang?

Best
Joshua

wow looks great! Hope it comes to DVD soon, since our local cinemas don't seem willing to carry any film without Vin Diesel in it ::shrug:: lol

I too wonder how today's PC climate will affect the anti-semitic undetones pervasive in The MOV. Thanks for the link... I wasn't even aware of it!

Lawrence -

Once this wacky weather gets above freezing - oh yeah! Sounds like a weekend with inestimable possibilities my friend :)

Plus, I could use a few more single tail lessons from ya <wink>

Best,
Joshua
