I like adding in the thinking...I like a sub who has a brain and maybe people won't know you semi stole it? lol

ok to get back on track...I have had this conversation with a lot of people and I have had people who come from mirror images of my background yet who are submissive. So, I think there has to be some nature involved in deciding it but then I also think people are who they are because certain natural tendencies were encouraged. So, who knows? It is likely different for everyone

I used to think an interest in BDSM was all nurture. And then I encountered about 8-10 people from the scene (most from just the Austin scene) whose offspring also enjoy BDSM. I now think it's a combination of nature and nurture. I think nature creates potential to have these interests, and nurture determines whether this potential realizes.

I would tend to agree with this. My husband and I have had kinky desires ever since we can remember ; even before we knew what sex was. His father had some "unusual" sexual preferences and now his daughter is showing all the tell tale signs of a domme. When his brother was still alive, he showed all the signs of a dom as well and we were even considering letting him in on what we were doing. Fortunately we found out he was a woman hater before we'd made the decision. The lifestyle certainly doesn't need any more of THOSE.

I am delighted for all the daughters in the parent-offspring pairs I mentioned were domme (at least with me ;-) ) and I see a promising trend. I am saddened for I have been born a generation too early ;-)

i find that it is born in you. i am a dominant woman and i found out it was in me as a child sometime it comes becasue of a overbearing parent. or something else it is there my father so was strong and my dear mother was not weak but she never rasied her voice at my dady whcih in time i found i would had slapped him silly i grown to know i was dominant i would tell guys long before i know about bdsm i want to tie you up, you may have this feelings and i see it is strong in you you want someone as i do still to control power exchnage at the highest i can get it i love the feeling. i sense you love the control you gave over to a woman pick someone carefully take you time i sense you are so ready to go i wish you luck i do think you were born with this feeling of submissiveness take care and good luck other may say different and we all have different opinios oh i have three member of my fmaily who are dominant each are women

I believe for some that when they were a child they tend to be shy. I grew up without a father since I was eight years old. My mother and four sisters really influence my life. I feel that I have been submissive almost all of my life. I desire to submit to a woman’s rule. This is where I feel the most comfortable.

I think if people really think about it...there is an enviromental factor or an event factor which determined their dominance or submission.

As I said...mine was a result of childhood expierences that didnt even consciously register in my mind until I was MUCH older.

With me, it was an issue of trust.... the earliest women in my life I trusted.... when I was whipped, my mother put the salve on me....

I learned that, even though I may hate it, I was always taken care of afterward...

It was strong bonds like this, even though you wouldnt think they do, that influence your life subconciously.

you may have had childhood expierences that influenced it....

you may have had an older girlfriend/boyfriend who you were a pet to.

all these things weigh in on your life.

I have one techniqe and one result...."S**t that hurt!" Not rocket science. You're hitting someone's ass with a stick people! There is no real secret to getting the marks straight and even. It's simply a matter of practice.
