Hi I am a newbie. I am coming out of an 8 yr marriage that was not adventurous at all, maybe some of reason I was never happy with our sex life. My very first boyfriend asked me to tie him up. At first I though it was weird, but once I started doing it I felt an incredible sense of power & realized I was more turned on when I had him tied up & sucking him off then during our actual sex. I have had some limited play where I was tied up as well, & I am always turned on at the mention of any 'rape' play. Now I wondering further into the world looking to find my place I am hoping being a part of this group will be a great asset. I am looking for all kinds of advice & friends so please feel free to respond.

Switchwme, first word of advice.... always listen to Roe. She's right, the message boards are a great place to learn. Read the threads that look interesting, do a search even to find more interesting threads, and ...what the heck, throw caution to the winds and ask a question!

Welcome Switchwme! Like you, I also "stumbled" into BDSM, and discovered that I like it. I'm sure you'll make some good friends here. Those that I have talked to are really nice.

Thank you all so much. I have been reading a lot. Which is really making my single status difficult. I want someone that I can play with so badly. I am afraid that I will meet a great guy bit that they won't be into any of this. At the same time I am afriad I will meet someone who makes (or submits) to all my wildest sex dreams but yet we will not have a solid good relationship. I want love & kink!! Not just sex, how do you find this? Fml

Well a lot of us have found that going back to vanilla wasnt the right way to go and yet others get what they need from two relationships. One vanilla one kinky. There was a discusiion about going back to vanilla on one of the forums a while ago.

It all takes time and patience and understanding learn all you can so that you do not become one of the people who have been there and gotten hurt. Tkae the time to learn what you can an what you want and need then go for it slowly.
