I need a lube that's light and slippery and lasts a long time, and is safe for anal sex, and silicone or jelly or rubber toys. Astro glide and wet and ky just won't cut it as far as silky liqiudyness.

What you need are TWO lubes, one for use with things NOT silicone and one for use with things silicone. Wet Platinum or another silicone-based lube is great for things NOT silicone. Wet (or whatever your other favorite brand might be) oil-based is fine on things silicone or polyurethane, but NOT anything latex or rubber.

Wee I was hoping it'd be the same lube for both needs, silicone friendly an anal sex proper lol.

It cannot be silicone, because you can't use silicone lubes with silicone toys. (Unless you use a rubber on them, and still, you run the risk of getting it on the base and therefore ruining your expensive silicone toy.)

It cannot be oil-based, because you can't use oil-based lubes with rubber toys.

It's going to be personally driven, really. Some prefer thicker lubes that stay in place, and others prefer the silky, runny kind. Starting with a lube sampler pack from a good store like Toys in Babeland might be your best bet.

I suggest starting here:

Thin lubes:
* Liquid Silk -- it tastes horrible, so it's clearly not for where you're going to stick a tongue.
* Eros Water Formula -- good stuff, but just as expensive as it's silicone partner.
*Gun Oil H2O.

Thick lubes:
* Probe Classic. They also make a Probe Light but it's really thin and weak in my opinion.
* Elbow Grease Gel (blue label.) If you like a heating lube, try their red label gel.
* Boy Butter H2O -- I've not tried it, but if it's anything like the oil based, this is the way to go for any anal play.
* Eros Power cream Lube. This stuff is a fortune, but some guys swear by it. It's condom-safe.

Flexible option --
* J-Lube -- it's a veterinary lube powder that you mix to the consistency that you desire. It tends to be really messy and high maintenance. (But it makes a TON of lube and is always good for lube wrestling in a kiddie pool!)

If you're going to go the silicone route, I've found Gun Oil to be the best for anal play. (Actually most stuff marketed to gay men works really well.) If you wish to go the oil-based route, Elbow Grease Cream, Boy Butter or Slam Dunk are cream options. Slam Dunk has J-Lube, Crisco and Clove Oil in it....a spicy option for the buttplayers.

My personal favorite (which is water based so its safe with everything) is Probe thick. MisPandora mentions it as "Probe Classic" but you do need to be careful if you are buying online since some places will market the "silky light" version as "classic." If you buy probe, make sure it says "thick" or "rich" (or both, it lists both terms on the bottle. Some places mention one, some both.)

I love it because it lasts a very long time and isn't absorbed quickly. It like some other water based lubes can be a tad stringy, but since it works so well you don't have to handle it anywhere near as much so its not difficult to work with. No staining and no taste. I can't say anything about their lighter version since the only use I would have for lube would be anal play, and that's something you want a thicker consistency for (at least in my opinion.)

I personally dislike astroglide with a passion... and when I've had to use it in a pinch the poor lad ended up hating it as well. I've had so many people recommend it to me for anal play. Its a concept I just cannot wrap my fingers around... they must have a totally different product than I have!

I buy from cheaplubes myself although I usually order through amazon, I'm sure you can order through the site MisPandora mentioned as well. I've never managed to find anyone who carries it any cheaper than cheaplubes.
