Being new to San Diego, I am at a loss as to where I might find some of the equipment I am in need of ie; leather apearal, binds, cat o nine, etc....
Any suggestions would be helpful.....

there are all types of place online to find what you are needing. Try doing a google search for all that you are looking for. Also you can do a search for local stores by typing in what your looking for.

The Crypt is a small chain of fetish stores which has several locations in San Diego - at least they did years ago.

I'm sure there are plenty of others...

go to ebay and look in fetish leather or leather fetish many are sold very cheap.

Fellow San Diegan here. Try Ringold Ally. It's right be ReBar. It's a gay man's leather store that has a TON of stuff, from equipment to furniture. The people there are really nice too. There's also The Crypt (Mentioned above). They just started selling Syren latex aperal last year as well.

Excuse the bad spelling, I'm typing very fast as I'm being bad at work ;)

One great site that has tons of leather products and equipment is http://www.spartacusleathers.com Their store is located in Portland which I have visited on occasion, and their main headquarters is there. I bought a ton of stuff from them off their site. Check it out!

TONS of stuff. You can generally get their cataloug at any play party.
