I don't spend a lot of time on the forums, but it would be hard for even a casual reader not to have noticed all the notes about people who don't answer messages. I just wanted to say that the male dominants I've approached have almost unfailingly answered my messages, and I appreciate it. Only two haven't -- one because I think he never came back to the site after posting his profile, and another for reasons I don't know. He's still here and he read the two messages I sent. I think it's remarkable that dominants are so willing to respond to messages. I don't know if I'm typical, but at least in my case, it's hard to write the note in the first place, so even if (maybe even especially if) the return message simply says that he doesn't feel we're compatible, I am grateful for it. That's because male dominants don't get a lot of gals writing to them so they tend to welcome anything dropping into their box and reply. Almost all the complaints about no replies come from men, and it is either because their notes are so dumb they don't merit a reply or the gals are overwhelmed by notes from on-line Romeos that they are simply unable to answer them all.

What confuses me more than people who don't respond is people who WRITE TO YOU and then never even read your reply. Like what was the fucking point?

LOL. :: raises hand :: guilty! and i can explain! i have written a few from the boards here, asking about a post, or once when i had a book for sale, i invited interested buyers to mail me.. but i never got any mail. i found it ALL in my bulk folder early last week. Hell, i didn't even know there was a bulk folder, i somehow stumbled on mail controls, etc. So now, there is a TON of mail to reply to, and it's going slowly. i did a cursory reading of all the names i recognised from the boards, but haven't gotten down the list yet, so those P/people would see me as haveing opened T/their mail and not replying. i figure T/they'll understand when they get T/their reply, or if T/they see this post.

As a Dominant male, I consider replying just plain common courtesy. Sometimes my reply is a simple, not at this time or we would not be right for one another. Some times when I write submissives I am simply saying good luck or congratulations on finding the one you wanted. In some cases, no reply on their part is expected. If it comes I will write them back acknowledging it and the fact they have shown that they know manners. Sometimes I do not reply if we have exchanged several emails anf it appears we can not make it onto the same page. Why go over the same things again?

Yep, almost every fem/sub openly states she'll answer polite and sincere mail etc, but the fact is very few do. Most who do reply usually like a bit of determination on the male's part and will repond after the second msg or so. From my male/Dom perspective, it is a lottery and I've usually got two or three attempts in me before I cut my losses and mentally "blacklist" them as a typical timewaster. I've recently sent a second msg to an interesting lady down south, whose profile specifically states something like "be rude, be ignored"! Well I'm never rude and she has read both - and thus far, nothing! With two notable exceptions, I find it a sad indictment of fem/subs on the Net that the ones I share regular mail with have all contacted me, first! That said, I haven't replied to one who wrote two days ago.... lol Better get to that now.... Focus.

I answer the majority of my male. Within the last couple of weeks I had a couple of lovely Nigerian women send me emails, but I didn't want to get caught up in a scam. Then there was the one that didn't initially say that she was Russian, but it turned out she was. That wasn't going to go very far. Most of my mail has to do with my writings here, and I do always respond. Every once in a while I might be an inquiry into my profile, but not often. Why, as I live and breathe, I'm getting a CM email right this very second. Must go answer. Jeff

It doesn't matter how well written the email they just don't reply. If they've read my email and haven't replied in a week I delete the sent message. I was raised to be a gentleman and since "discovering what it is that I like to do" I'm now a Dominant Gentleman. So when I don't get a reply I chalk it up to bad manners and move on. But it still irks me to spend at least 30 mins composing just to get dissed.

Like you mentioned.....you spend 30 min typing your ass off trying to write a well written thoughtful response and nadda. Every once in awhile a profile will stand out and I'll send a quick paragraph inviting the person to check out my profile and respond with questions,etc. if the feel we have anything in common? I'll also comment privately on a persons' post if I feel it's a real good one....but that's about it anymores.......

I respond to any emails I receive. It also gets me into trouble when the person on the other end has a good sense of humor and a command of the English language. It happens so seldom that they can use the language that I can get sucked into a conversation with a wanker just because he knows how to compose a sentence.

I get emails from the staff on collar me thats it. apperently being poly and open and honest about it. is a bit difficult. but what ever, if I get mail and there not out to waste my time then I will respond to it. other then that the rest of them can go fuck themselves with there 25 mile long lists saying what they won't do when according to them they have no limits
