Yes and no.  Smoking is a choice you make for everyone you come in contact with, not just yourself.  Being obese may be visually unattractive (to an individual) but unless the obese person actually sits or falls on you, their 'choice' really will never affect someone ELSE's health.  Smoking on the other hand is a choice that can affect people you come into contact with because of residue on your clothings, skin, and hair.

Now granted, I'm more sensative than most.  Spending only a couple hours in the presence of your average smoker will have me coughing for a week or more.  (even if they do not smoke around me)  But spending time around an obese, even morbidly so, person has never hurt me or cost me anything.  I'd much rather see munches divided by smoke friendly, and smoke free than by BMI (or age, another suggestion I saw in another post today).  But I'm sure that's just my personal perspective, and I am not willing to give up on every event there might be a smoker at, so I take a tiny personal air purifier with me to events, and hope for the best.  If obesity makes you uncomfortable, perhaps you should put blinders on so you can only see a certain width of a particular person *LOL*

Not if this will be taken in the spirit it was meant, but there you have it, my 2 cents looking at a 17 hour work day about to begin.

greetings to all

i think it does not matter this is the reason when someone who is dominant have the proud confidents that is need to be a dominant it is more important but then yes many are in shape this is fine but many models and people who go under the knife to have lagre breast or even a lagrer backside then still do not have the confindents to lead and train someone it is in the mind yes have a okay shape but it stil lays in the mind it take power exchange and a confident dominant to really know what is need to take over

I work out 5x a week. If you keep in shape, you have more energy and endurance. This translates into better scenes because they last longer!!  But beyond the effect on a scene, you feel better and are healthier. Those are good things. Excercise is essentially about disipline and committment. Plus, there is no doubt that most people find a lean and toned body more attractive.

[sm=boxer.gif]dear greetings, contes,in re to scenes ,and, working out
i'd never go without the two myself ;seems naturally occuring, as one increases ,so does the other,and visa- versa....;

personally ,as a slave: working out and ,starving is prime form,for scenes, but ,so is'nt topping it off with 'whipping' a perfect body into shape even more; litterally-speaking.
*no sex;
or intimacy;(public ,or private.....);what does a slave- body do? ,without the 'lifestyle' ?? ;
look like every,other frump in limbo....
certain details worn even in the nude help also;no matter how you look at it.
it's all, so very personal;
is'nt it.(especially, when someone takes, that 'lifestyle' away ; does'nt ever do a body good; does it....contes a-luv.)[>:][>:]

Okay, so of course as we get older (which I just did last Tuesday), the state of our health is more of a concern.  So, as I sit here fighting off a bout of the shingles that has had me home from work for two and a half weeks now and I see myself putting on weight because I'm not as active as I usually am.  I of course start to worry that once I'm well again, I won't be able to actually have a good scene with anyone until I've gotten back into a somewhat normal workout schedule.

(Contesa <--------------------Climbing the walls since she usually goes to a local BDSM play party almost every Saturday night.  Has missed scening quite a bit now.)

So, I thought it might be interesting to see how many of you out there are into working out and believe it does make for a better scene?  I know there are many who say it makes for better sex for sure.  So what do you say?

WetHotGoddess -> RE: Do you think that staying in shape makes better scenes? (10/20/2006 6:33:33 AM)

I think staying in shape makes for more enjoyable scenes when I am WATCHING.  Of course, if you are the out of shape one, and you are being beaten or doing the beating, you do not have to look at yourself doing it.  But being in shape is reflected  in hygeine, clothes, hair and tooth care, etc.
Poor grooming is as bad as obesity, IMO.

I personally enjoy seeing pretty people doing scenes.

I am also aware of clubs that are exclusive to BBW dommes.  I feel it is discriminatory to HWP's.
But- for those who are into that - it is a good thing for them.

A bottom only has to have one muscle in shape.

That would be the tongue?

The lips?

A specific muscle in the vagina?

The anus?

One of their gluteus maximi for spanking?

The voice box for screaming?

The calf muscle for the wurtenberg wheel?

The diaphragm so they can breathe?

Enquiring minds want to know.

No question that being in shape helps both the sub/slave and the dominant.

Yeah, big time. If I wasn't in shape I couldn't flog someone for an hour and a half straight.

The sub on the other hand that I flogged was not so in shape, which was probably part of why I could flog them for an hour and a half. Thinner people have nerves closer to the surface.

I also feel better in general for a number of reasons when I'm not overweight and in shape. My sex drive improves, my confidence level is higher, I naturally tend to be able to take care of myself and am a better Domme.

Keeping fit helps hone not only the body but also the mind and soul. It really does help everything, including your attatude on life.

No, I think scening is more fun between two people who are out of shape
and tire quickly.  I beleive we should all overeat and exercise less to
make scening more fun.

WhipTheHip -> RE: Do you think that staying in shape makes better scenes? (10/21/2006 7:44:35 AM)

I have never smoked a cigarette in my life, but have always accomodated all who do.
I would rather accept the consequences of second-hand smoke, than be intolerant,
unfriendly, and/or judgmental.

I don't believe obesity is a choice for most people.  If all it took to lose weight was
to eat less and exercise more, we could tell just tpeople who are depressed to be
happy, laugh more and cry less.  And we could tell anorexics to eat more and
exercise less.

Fawne -> RE: Do you think that staying in shape makes better scenes? (10/21/2006 8:13:24 AM)

Staying is shape means good health.

Being a cover model for Muscle & Fitness magazine isn't usually required to enjoy a good scene.

Health means: proper bodily functions, circulation, flexibility, energy, stamina, strength, vitality- LIFE.
Without health..?

I try and stay in shape. Doing very well, TY.
This enables me to: process oxygen efficently enough to have mutliple orgasms, touch my ankles to my ears, kneel easily (even while impaled orally), light and resiliant enough to be tossed around or tackled, and I can buy sizzling hot fetish wear straight off the rack and I'm set.. Please forgive any lack of modesty here.

Dominants: please... your fitness does count too.
We wish you to live a long and vigorous life and enjoy your reign on this earth.

No doubt?

Rather interesting infinitive being split with that sentence.

I have quite a few friends who enjoy some cushion on their partners.

Might make more sense speaking for yourself than attempting to paint a majority of the human human race with your own personal prejudices.

But that is just me and I could be wrong.

The way I see it, if somebody wants me to tell them what to do, they will ask.

If they dont ask, I am going to smile, be nice to them, and support what they are doing.

I stopped trying to be a self-appointed moral, physical, emotional, or spiritual guardian a couple of years out of high school.  While many who are that way think they are the next best thing to sliced bread, people they interacted with tended to have a much more negative opinion of these people.

But that is just me and I could be wrong.
