my guess is a DoD top secret project....

but what I really want to know is... where can one pick up her special rope? I've checked around and rainbow ropes just laughed at me so I baught a cupping set instead - that shut em up. (OK, not really.. but I did buy the cupping set lol)

Wonder woman's plane was built on paradise island. She had to be very careful about how she stored it, because people have bumped into it. She herself had a sort of sixth sense (described in cannon as telepathy) which allowed her to find the plane, and even to control it.

Her plane was invisible but she wasn't. You could still see her.

Fly at a high enough altitude and that's not a problem. Please keep in mind the invisible jet concept was first introduced around 1946, when jets were very new and the only reliable way to spot an airplane was to look up. Jets flew so high they were barely findable, and they made so little noise the elaborate listening aparatus of the time could not make them out. There is a reason why the invisible jet was phased out back in the seventies, after several attempts at revamping the durned thing.
