Wondering what would be most painful and lead to the slowest death for a certain person.
Exteme? Yes - to explain
I got an email this morning from a guy whom I interviewed in the summer - he volunteered that he had experience of telemarketing. Interesting for me - especially as I didnt find him attractive at all and wouldnt want to play with him, because I needed some telesales done for my Czech office. So I set up a little company, 50% for me, 50% for him (he was unemployed), put the investment in (GBP2k or so) and sent him off to do the telesales. "Thank you for this opportunity" he gushed "I wont let you down".
He was meant to start the telesales in August; nothing. September; nothing. Meanwhile I am emailing, phoning, posting to find out what is going on? - no answer or evasive answers, like "I'll have something for you next week". So its been continuing - me too busy with everything else to really press it and him not available or evasive. By mid September I reached the point of thinking well, time to call it a day. I told him, no more money, no more anything, until I got some evidence of work. "I will meet you next Friday" - well Friday never came, and running a multi national freight company kind of distracted me from following it up.
So today I get an email from this dick, "sorry not done anything, I have a court summons, er whatever etc (it goes on quite a bit)" Now it emerges this dick also has a prior conviction for fraud. So basically to me it looks like he's probably defrauded me too - and then there's this court summons on top. Now what really annoys me, is that I took a fair bit of time and care with this dick, and we had long conversations about everything - at no point did it appear to be anything more than a good guy who had fallen on hard times but who would make the most of the opportunity.
In the end, its my own fault. I'm just too damned soft, and too damned nice to think ill of people unless they really show themselves to be assholes. So it looks like I lost two grand, because I am too trusting and too willing to help someone out.
So thats why I'm wondering whether crucifixion or the oubliette would be the most satisfactory solution.
