2 weeks ago, who would have thought Dallas and NY would be tied.

Yeah servant, what was up with Ballard tonight? Add to that the necessity, due to injuries,of playing rookie linebackers and Dallas is on top ...temporarily.

With the waiver of Orton, does that spell the building of the Broncos around Tebow?

No Tazzy it doesn't...Elway is still not convinced Tebow is the answer, nor should he be...the man can not throw the damm ball.
What releasing Orton does though is give Tebow some security for this year( he improves during OTA's and mini camp or he loses the job again) saves the Broncos just short of 3 million and,not incidentally allows Orton to maybe hook up with Tenn. Or Chicago for the remainder of the year .
Elway just might feel bad about how public pressure cost Orton the position.

The question has been... if they do build up the team around Tebow... then who will play back up to him? Is there another guy who QB's the same way?

And if they dont... then Tebow wont be any better than he is now...

A great day for football. Packers improve to 11 and 0. The 49ers loose keeping them 2 games behind Green Bay...

The Packers are looking like they will run the table. DET is looking immature and inconsistent. MIA is playing hard, but Dallas looks to finally be playing to the level of its talent. SF is a rock solid, fundamentally sound football team -- but it lacks a passing game. Field position, stopping the run, special teams, and running the ball requires keeping the game close. If SF gets behind, its offense cannot ramp up to pass it down field. V. a team like GB, SF would have to be able to run the ball and keep it, while scoring TDs on their drives. Additionally, it would need to win the turnover battle. If the two met in the playoffs in GB and the weather was bad, neutralizing the passing game, it could be quite interesting.

BAL plays really well at home, and has now beaten PITT (2x), CIN, HOU, SF, and the NYJ. To make a push for the Super Bowl, BAL needs to gain the home field advantage for the playoffs. That's far from a given at this point.

Why do the Broncos WANT someone who plays like Tebow (if anyone like that exists)?  If they get a conventional QB and swap them out as the game progresses, they'll cross up defenses who have to adjust to TWO offensive schemes.

I think that Denver should just settle for one QB. That position has to be consistant. The center would have his hands full getting the ball to two different QB's..

The rest of the offense would also have a hard time adjusting. This would give an advantage to the D.

Look what Philly did. They needed a backup to Vick and got Young. Similar styles there. that way, when Vick went down, the linemen didn't have much adjusting to do when Young stepped under center.

My God.  Denver just pulled off another ridiculous win.  Four in a row now.  It's almost like a team of destiny at this point.  Let's see if Oakland falters....

I don't see the Giants beating the Saints tonight, and I don't see them beating the Packers next Sunday but we'll see. That's why they play the games. Good luck Mike...
