When I was pregnant a few years ago, I was told I had too much amniotic fluid. I was so big that everyone thought I looked ready to pop at 7 months. After the birth of my child, I was left with tons of loose stretched skin. Since then I have become overweight. I've thought about diet and exercise, but have been told that it will do no good without surgery. Is this true, or can I get the same results by losing weight slowly and wearing a corset? I don't have $10,000 for a tummy tuck. How do other mothers who have loose skin get rid of it, does anyone know?

You can lose the weight and the extra skin naturally. Diet, regular excercise and at least twice a week cover yourself head to toe in an aloe vera lotion that has Vitamin E. This will tighten the skin a bit. I had to go through all this stuff with a former submissive who was considering stomach stapelling since she could not lose weight from hormonal problems.

Lose the weight slowly. Visit a supplement store for a good Isolate protien shake. Check with a nutritionist about vitamins that will help muscle and skin elasticity. Eat healthy foods, and don't starve yourself. You're going for slow, controlled, steady weight loss.

The success of losing the loose skin also depends on how long you've been overweight and how long ago it was initially stretched out by the pregnancy...(AKA...How long has the skin been really stretched out?)...and your age.  As we age, the elasticity of our skin decreases, so the younger you are when you loose the weight, the better off the end result of your skin will be.

I hope this helps.

Best of Luck,

Unfortunately for me the first year after the birth of my babies my skin tightened up some.
It's been 18 almost 19 years and my skin is still loose on my stomach even when I was working out all the time.
Even when I had the beginnings of washboard muscles in my stomach the skin did not tighten up more.
For me the skin and stretch marks are a medal I wear proudly of motherhood.
It took me about ten years to not care I don't have a barbie tummy and I think my body is beautiful just the way it is.
I'd recommend you liking yourself for the you inside.
That's where your real beauty lies any way.

If you're still very concerned wear a girdle or panty hose.
They can help your stomach look flatter.
Other than that most peoples skin does not go back or shrink  any more a few years after having kids.
If your skin was the type to go back to pre-pregnant condition it would have done that by now.

Sorry it's not what you'd like to hear, but it's what I think is the truth as far as I have seen.

I have been carrying Mine for 17 years...Good news though...with some diet modification and exercising a few times a week,I'm taking it slow and the belly is shrinking.
I had a Gazelle given to Me and its awesome, very low impact, and easy to use.
I cant walk outside as I live on a dangerous road,so this works perfect.
Plus there is no excuses that the weather is bad so I cant go walk.

dbg...
I hat eto bet he one to just blurt it out...unless your skin is very elastic.....you arent goignt o lose any skin....as it stretched...it actually grew increasing the actual suit your body came in.

and so now i will admit it here in the open...I had lost 70lbs and had 15 lbs of skin removed from my belly when i had reconstruction surgery  yes i had a tummy tuck and well I am happy to talk about it if you wish to know the inns and out of it.

yes the surgery is about 10K and yes it is painful as all get out...it took me about 2 months post op to feel up to driving and functioning as a  real person.  I honestly can say that in perspective it was worse than any of the other abdominal surgeries i have had...I had 2 c/sections... an old fashions gallbladder removal,..an apendectomy, a hernia repair, and an assortment of GI surgeries.  bascially i looked like an autopsy..  but well after 6 kids what does one expect a lady's abds to looklike?  I hate that big blonde victoria's sectret model....maeks real women look bad...grumble grumble grumble....

anyhow my advice on this subject is to do your best by losing the weight that you wish to lose...and if you feel that your skin is causing you a problem....such as  major skin folds...and well casue you a problem then take it up with a doctor...if it is an actual medical issue sometimes insurance will cover it.  my TT surgery was partly covered by insurance becasue of the amount of weight i had lost. and the issues that were caused by the skin folds.

and so  the first thing is to be comfortable in your new figure...then excercesie as best as you can becasue if you opt for a TT you will be out of commission as far as excersize is concerned...you wouldn't want to cause a tear in the newly fixed muscle repairs...
alot of people do not realize that belly sag isnt always due to extra skin  sometimes as in my case it was muscle stretching as well....as your skin stretched in pregnancy  so did your muscles....well anyhow you get the picture...

any questions  drop a note..ill et you knwo what i tried and what did and didnt work...granted I am in a class by myself after having 6 kids..and all the assorted surgeries...but well  that is my medical history and i have tried assorted things.
