ORIGINAL: sfgrrl I don't know that I would call the two devices "nearly identical." The one sold by Paddlewerks is made from higher quality wood and has more features than the offering from Stumpy's. The overall craftsmanship, fit and finish of the Paddlewerks humbler appear to be much greater as well. Stumpy's looks like it was made in high school shop class. Even with all that, I still think that $114 is excessive. ~stef I agree with you, stef. I don't recall mine costing more than 25 or 30 bucks, but it may have been given to me. You can get them with different features and adds (spikes on the part that cradles the ass, etc). Also, the more acute the angle between where your balls go and where your ass sits the less likely you will be to be able to stand up. So if you want one that's really immobilizing you should get one with larger/deeper curves. I've seen guys stand up and hobble all over the place with one on (and yes, it makes for a challenge to do it, but it's doable) and I've seen some that would not allow the sub to stand at all. I suppose how much scrotum you have and how pliable it is would also account for your choice, as well. More sack=more stretch=more mobility.
