I'm overweight. Plain and simple. I'm also of german descent, and I carry alot of weight in my midsection. I'm 235, and 5'4". i detest the tummy rolls...one above my waistline, the larger below. Buddha belly I guess.
Well, this gets in the way for me when I use my strapless strapon. (Feeldoe)

SO, I'm looking for a corset thats longer, that might go past the hips a tad in the front, so that i can cinch in that lower bulge during sex play where I'm using the strapon.

Suggestions?? :)
I can't afford an expensive one right now :(
But what should I look for?

Yep, I've got a few on in my pics both in my profile and on my website linked in the signature......and that's their corsets worn heavily for 3+ years each.  I swear by Stormy (but I can wear off the rack corset cuts.)

Coming from someone who has worked as a corsetier for a number of years, what you've got up on your site really look like very lightweight bustiers -- clearly not something intended for routine wear, figure training or for tightlacing.  They don't even have spring-steel busks.

A proper corset will have a busk (or a spring steel supported zipper, depending on the pattern) and it will be sized according to your natural WAIST measurement (and with the degree of reduction, i.e. 4 or 6 inch reduction) -- NEVER a bust or cup size as the basis for the garment.

Fredericks calls their stuff "corsets" too.....but they've got plastic 'bones' and are good for about 6 wears for a fat girl......if that....before they break out the eyelets or break down in the areas of the casing.  Allure Leather is the same way......they say those are corsets, and they are deerskin with little/no backing and no ribbon inlay to support the structure of the corset's waist.  They are hardly capable of supporting tightlacing.  They are ok for a first try at wearing a corset for fashion, but the marketing should be clear that you're not getting a "deal" on a great tightlacing corset, you're getting a garment that may not last you long if you try to use it AS a corset.

I know someone who has bought a few corsets from ALTER-EGO-EROTICS as well and they were very happy with everything they got. They have an extremely high customer feedback rating, close to 100%.

I have worn both Fredricks of Hollywood corsets and have 1 in fact I have owned and is in great condition. I also had one from Allure for 4 years till I finally gained to much weight for it.
You have great points totally and I think its great you shared. But I ersonally believe not everyone can forke over hundreds of dollars on something they do not use daily.I know I personally cant. For those who want something till they can save up for a real corset why not have the selection of the so called not real corset. I feel like its a corset and people wear them as corsets.I try not to go around slamming businesses or people or items. Thats not my place. I try to provide. I am sorry my items did not meet what you consider a corset but many others do. And I think with proper care any corset can be a good corser to the owner for a very long time.

I went and read your ebay items...and honestly  I felt that for the prices tey are quite affordable...actually do not be surprised if you get an email from me...I know that although I would really love to purchase a custom corset...I cannot ...I must find a place that I can go ina nad get measured...I have a very distinctive figure and
due to the fact that i have medically enhanced tahtahs I have to be very careful of what i can and cannot wear....if i wear something too constraining my girl can migrate
and become permanaently misplaced.

I think that th eoringinal poster was looking for an intem similar to what you offer... somehting htat will hold it all in and up soo it is up and out of the way..but is stil affordable
thank you for sharing with us all....I will be sending you and email on bay becasu ei have a few ebay tye questions
little red

I use the ones on fredericks of holly wood and biggalslingerie. The ones from these sites fit very nicely. Good luck.

I agree with the Alter-Ego on ebay.  I have 3 corsets, a lacing skirt and a corset dress I purchased from them.  I get non stop compliments each time I wear any of the items.  The corset I am wearing in my photo is a satin one I purchased from a local store catering to strippers.  It has held up to the test of time for 3 years now.  I too am a big woman with a hefty midsection so I understand about wanting to help keep the flesh contained sometimes.

Greetings,

I work for a company based in Massachusetts that stocks stormy products.  For someone of Your size as You describe and what Your looking for i would suggest a tulip style (longer length and even down the hips.  i love mine!!) or a collette style depending on Your chest size.  a friend of mine owns the collette style and she loves it and is a larger woman as well but finds it most comfortable (wore it for 8 hours the last time with no problems).  I'm afraid i can't help with suggestions on something similar in a lower price range but to be honest if You want something that will deffinately WORK for You and last unfortunately it will be something in the higher range or most likely You will only be disappointed in fit or worse in how long it lasts for You.

the company i help with is called 4eva fetish www.4evafetish.com and the owners will help with any questions You might have happily.  i will too if i can!!!

best of luck to You..

esmeralda
