Sounds like the making of a new convent - "Sisters of the 4"

I cannot believe this thread made it to page nine..

man it MUST be a slow week.. LOL

Voltare -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/12/2006 6:53:16 PM)

Erm, after nine pages, it seems the issue's pretty well been dealt with.

Having said that, from time to time I like to answer posts in the Poly section (I'm not poly), the ask a submissive (I'm not sub, nor switch) and Ask a Mistress section (have never, nor plan to try being a Mistress.

Different perspectives might not always help, but if offered in good faith never hurt.  Besides, this is a message board, free speech applies to all.

Another -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/18/2006 7:31:08 AM)

Tal and greetings,

Thank you all for your answers, I did not realize "Master" was considered non-gender.  I had always thought the word was gender specfic.  So for that reason, is why I did not ask the same question in the "Ask a Mistress" section, I will assume that too can be non-gender.   And yes, I have learned something by all of the responses.  In fact, I have learned much.

I wish you all well.  (you - non-gender)

& by this reply we've learned a bit as well....

You came to a board with a preconceived notion that it "should" be exclusively for the use & contact of male-masters to ask these male-masters as to why these, how was that worded... these self proclaimed supposedly dominant women would post in a male-master forum. I don't know how physics work in your world but pretty much every where else the quickest route to something is a straight line... why not directly ask those who you had questions about in the first place?? Yet if we follow your line of thinking that this is a male-master site-- the direct place to post this inquiry about why women post in ask a master would have been to do so where you felt these invalidated women should be posting/contributing to... the ask a mistress forum. How can these men answer for us? Or is it you feel that we "supposed dominants" shouldn't be answering for ourselves & the men are better equipped at doing so?

Kind of validates the suspicion that you don't think very highly of women...

Arpig -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/18/2006 10:42:32 AM)

The ask a Master/Mistress/Switch/Submissive fora are really there to enable one to more easily find threads and questions they are more likely to be interested in.
I regularly peruse the topics in the ask a mistress section, I have replied to some, and even started at least one. I reply less often in that section simply because there are less topics that either interest me, or to which I can usefully contribute. I do read more threads there than I respond to, but I have never considered the Ask a Master section to be for male dominants to answer only, to me it has always been the section where you post a question that is either directed at male domonants, or that has bearing on an issue involving a male dominant.

i've a horrible image of Another.  Having stirred the pot sufficiently, she now sits back and watches the aftermath, smug and quite self-satisfied at her own perceived sense of power.  Don't know if that's true, but it's a disturbing image all the same.

Honestly? Instead of the image being disturbing it makes me giggle. I picture a female Comic Book guy from the Simpsons, rubbing her hands and cackling at the trouble she thinks she has caused. We know she wanted to cause trouble or she would have posted in Ask a Mistress and she would have done it respectfully. I think she just provided a source of amusement.

I just baked a ton of cookies for Thanksgiving, may I offer chocolate chip, peanut butter or oatmeal?

angaothsi -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/18/2006 10:14:23 PM)

If a Dominate homosexual male transvetite who identifies themself in the feminie were to have a torried affair with a married man would they not in fact be a Mistress? Just museing.

Now just as an exercise in stretching the idea to it's limits. (I love doing this) lets see for the forums we will need a few more catagories.

Ask the Male Dominant
Ask the Female Dominant
Ask the Master
Ask the Mistress
Ask the male slave
Ask the female slave
Ask the male submissive
Ask the female submissive
Ask the Gorean Master
Ask the Gorean Mistress
Ask the Leather Master
Ask the Leather Mistress
Tell the gorean slave, (LOL had to make the one jab all in good fun)

The message overall is if we split them all out into their seperate sections some folks would be really happy that they could then just gather the information most directly related to their view. But if you look at reality, how much information and how many ideas have already crossed the boundries to be used by those in other styles/ formats? Tons of it. I know many a Leather Master who read the Gorean books back when they first came out and found things, ideas etc, that they have canabalized and redressed as Leather. Funny thing is I have always wondered at the fact that so many Leather customs of the Old Guard were reflected in the Gorean books to begin with. Which came first the ishan or the egg.

You forgot the male and female switches and the men and women looking for rough sex ;)

---

As for the topic on hand:

If we feel the need to contribute our opinions, thoughts, and stories to a thread, we'll post there.
I don't need someone telling me that I can't post here because I happen to have a vagina.
So what?
If I have something to add, I'll add it.

Yea and boi's....everyone is always forgetting bout da bois...

Well then you'd have to include the grrls....

Hey, no problem, life would really suck without grrls......

Nope - because a "transvestite" isn't a transsexual.

A transvestite is still male.

Tal,

I quite understand it's an open forum, but the question still remains, WHY would you want to post here in, "Ask a Master", if you are female?

I wish you all well,

Another

Because i feel like doing so.  Some body stop me! ~weg~

angaothsi -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/19/2006 8:43:55 PM)

Your right, I should have written transgender, but all in all I was attempting to be funny, please forgive the faux pas.
