dommeinnj -> not sure where to post this (11/7/2006 2:14:08 PM)

hello, im seeking some help here. i am speaking to someone who says they can recieve e-mails, and whose chat funtion works, but says they cannot send an e-mail, would there ever be a reason for this, and if so, how would it be fixed? thanks for the help.

i have never had this happen, and i dont want to look stupid, but i figured its better to ask than assume the worst

That happened to me once, it was because my intial set up was wrong.

Cause, when you first set email up, you have to put an outgoing server and an incoming server in...etc...

At the risk of appearing to be a small brain, as Mark & Brian put it, I will endeavor to hide my gender characteristics and take a crack at this question.

If this is an issue with collarme, ask the moderator to fix his account.  That happened to me once, although I am not sure what they did.

If this is a problem with an email program like microsnot outlook express or thunderbird, the server settings have to be correct under internet properties.

In my case, since I use earthlink, I have to use pop.earthlink.net as the inbound server, and smtp.earthlink.net as the outbound server.

Just me, could be wrong, but there you go.
