We actually originally met in a chatroom, online, in early 2001. I was an over-the-road truck driver, and was home off the road for a few days, and was doing something I didn't do very often, chatting, in a room I had never been in, and my wife-to-be had hardly ever been there either. There was a comment made about "bitches", and I jokingly asked if there were any "spayed females" in the room. She joked something back, and we started an online conversation, which led to phone conversations, and when I left back out on the road, I went to California, and on my way back I just "happened" to go back through Indiana, where she lived, and met her in person for the first time. After a few more visits whenever I could get to Indiana, she got in the truck with me, we got married in May, she went through driving school, got her CDL to drive truck, and we were in the truck together 24/7 for 98 percent of the past 3 years. We finally got tired of life on the road, and are now doing something different, she works full-time and I'm getting us started in the flea-market-antique-collectibles business. We have a flea market booth, do some selling on ebay, and our goal is in the near future, hopefully later this year sometime, to open our own antique-collectibles store. We had several separations, we butted heads All the time, both stubborn, until I had a talk with her a few months ago, and bared my soul, and now our standing joke is that she finally "came around to my way of thinking". (grin)
So that's how we met, you never know how or when, but I believe that you find what you're looking for sometimes when you're least expecting it, and even then you might not know you've found it. I've gone through times in my life when I was alone, discouraged, and didn't have much hope of realizing my dreams. Things do change for the better eventually!
