I need a new flogger.

looking for around 30 falls.

I want to spend around 100.00 MAX, but 50.00 being ideal.

website ?

some one here make them really nice and can take some serious use and not crap out ??

I have picked up a few off of ebay in that price range that were very nice. Ebay is kind of luck of the draw though, you never know what is going to be on there day to day. I tend to watch those pages though so if I see something exceptionally nice I drop a bid.

ebay is the best place that I have found, woman named unownedbeauty makes some great stuff. I have two from her and they have had a lot of use. They hold up well.

I have several of hers also and yes I agree, she does very nice work. My only complaint with hers though are that they are quite light. Even the mops are light.

ONE of the reasons I am posing this question is because I bought one off of e-bay, and it was worse than anything I have even seen in a novelty shop on the beach boardwalk even !

So if there is a particular "STORE" or seller on e-whore you can reccomend, that would be more helpfull. thanks.

as to other sites, I'm looking for ACTUAL VOUCHABLE QUALITY that people will attest to having owned / or still do a flogger they bought.

I can do "searches" for floggers, bt I am looking for a reccomendation. thanks :)

The Toybag. www.toybag.com They took over Jeanette Heartwood's business too, so they also sell "Heartwood" floggers. I haven't bought anything in ages, so I'm not sure what their prices are like, but the quality is top notch.

Of course, that means that they make floggers that are a good fit for my hands. The Toybag flogger handles fit my tiny hands beautifully. I can't throw a Heartwood flogger for more than a couple of minutes before my hands start to ache though. It's really a good idea to try several different makers out, to see what's a good flogger *for you*, because that's going to be different from what's good *for me*.

I'm not sure where you're located, but if there is a major con/party in the area they usually have vendor areas. I'm sure other parts of the country have things like the Fetish Fleamarket as well. That's the best way to get to try out a variety of different artisans and find what's the best fit for you.

The site that I gave you I have seen, handled and been flogged by this companies floggers although I do not personally own one. The quality is very nice and my friends who own them are very happy with them.

I would second the recommendation for Happy Tails products that mistoferin mentioned. I actually have my floggers made from a local leather craftsman here, but my singletail is from Happy Tails and I've had a good chance to look at their products at the San Francisco Folsom Street Fair the past few years as well. They're good quality and easy to work with. You can definately pay a lot more for good high quality floggers (Snakepit Leathers comes to mind) but for the money and quality I don't think you can go wrong with Happy Tails.

How thumpy/stingy?

I can make it how you want it, and my price is negotiable. Probably not $50, but I can go to $80. Custom flogger, and if it breaks, I'll replace it.

Suade, Top Grain, latigo are the leathers I have available, and 30 tails is about the amount I have on them. Generally about 1/2 wide each, and the tips can be finished the way you want.

I would highly recommend unownedbeauty for floggers on Ebay. I have several that she has done and they are wonderful. The balance is excellent. And the prices are great.

She offers a wide variety of styles and sizes. And I am sure that if you desired something special it could be arranged.

if you like Ebay for floggers, my two favorite sellers there are MsBrenda at LeatherCellar.com and SnakePit LeatherWorks...

if buying directly from their sites, the cost may be higher... but sometimes it's possible to get their floggers on auction on Ebay for much less...

MsBrenda's floggers tend to be more heavily weighted, well made and finished nicely... I have a few that I've owned for about 6-7 years now & no problems... I like her work very much...

my sweetie & I have a few of their pieces as well and he really loves them... the handles are kangaroo because it lies flatter and they do make a nice weave with it...

as for http://www.flogger.com aka Happy Tails, we have a few of those as well... <grin> can you tell we like a well-stocked toybag/closet? since we prefer the more intense tools, we lean towards the kangaroo tomcat & their singletails, though his first flogger is their moose mop (sweetie is a big guy & me, well, nowhere near that muscle mass)...

oh, almost forget -- Master Leathers had apprenticed to MsBrenda and now has his own website to sell his floggers... they're good too... we have a couple of his pieces, the rubber stinger I think and one other... he does have an economy line too...

well, those would be the flogger makers I'd personally directly recommend, even for purchasing online, whether direct or on Ebay... MsBrenda was one of my first Ebay purchases, an elkskin that is SO yummy... but like I said above, she tends to weight her floggers more heavily than others I have... which is not a bad thing, just depends on what one prefers...

I have a very heavy latigo flogger made by suberic of Black Rose. The tails are thick and heavy and leave welts when used gently.

The oak handle is nicely tapered and fits well in my hand.

It is definitely for heavy duty play.

Her name is Beverly and she is from www.Achella.com All her floggers are guaranteed and depending on where you live, she'll probably be at a show near you.
