Status: offline 		My first BDSM meet-up, the person I was meeting couldn't believe their eyes. They had only seen what they wanted to (keep your minds out of the gutter for a moment, all she wanted was my eyes), and were unprepared for who I was.

I wore black. And I mean black. Black steel-toed sneakers, socks, denim jeans, light cotton dress shirt. I also had my own set of black leather wrist and ankle cuffs, with two steel D-rings on either side of one another. I also wore a silver heavy-link choker under the collar of the shirt. I have very pale skin, so the effect, in my opinion, was rather striking... it doesn't hurt that I'm 6'2" tall and weigh 200 pounds. I also had, with me, a 6-foot ebony walking staff (we met in a public park and walked a bit).

I have always worn what makes me comfortable, and what will put me in the mindset I need to be in.

Status: offline 		Well, now that Y/yall decided what you'll be wearing.... pictures?  The fashion-conscious must know, lol.  I personally have no idea what'd I'd wear, since I've never been out in the scene. I think I'd be to worried about making a poor impression to have a good time...

I went to a munch this weekend also and wore black jeans and a blue off the shoulder top.  Some of the jewellry I wear could probably pass as a bit fetish-y (leather bands and a wrist cuff) however I wear those even at work and must admit that I probably look just like your average woman catching up with friends, which is exactly what the munch was like.... smiles.

i haven't been yet, its tonght - i'm really nervous, i feel like its my first day at school or something <lol>. i'm glad you had a good time at your munch, your outfit sounds really nice too, i'm sure you looked gorgeous but then i think you're really lovely in yur profile picture too.

Status: offline 		i don't know anyone at all in RL who is into the lifestyle, i met Master on a vanilla group online years ago and He didn't know at the time what direction our lives would take so He doesn't know anyone either,  this will be the first time i meet people locally.
So far i've put on my makeup once and then washed it off and reapplied it, burnt my foot on my hair straighteners, and put on my 'story of O' ring and undies, but i have to wait for Master's final decision before i get dressed, He is going with me but He's not home right now but He just called me to run His bath so i guess He will be back soon.

Master is back now so i can get dressed.

i will try to chill and have fun, its weird going to pubs and not drinking - i gave up alcohol over 4 years ago but i still miss it when i'm in a social setting, but i suppose its good as it means its my own effort to relax and socialise and not the booze giving me false confidence.

Status: offline 		i had a pretty good time, though Master struggled to hear the conversation over the music as He is partially deaf. the people were very friendly and it was quite relaxed. i ended up wearing my eternity collar, black leggings, a black smock blouse, and shiny pvc stiletto boots. Master didn't have time to take a pic as He was relaxing in His bath before we went out. i did feel nervous though.

Don´t try too hard, just wear what you would normally wear down the pub. i think they mention goth in the dresscode because goths don´t have "normal" sort of vanilla wear in their wardrobe and would feel uncomfortable dressing in casual clothes. it just means goth is welcome.

Not to hijack, but thanks to Lux for a description of what a guy might wear; I really appreciated it. One of my excuses (and yes, I know it's an excuse) for not going to the local leather bar is that I'm unsure of what to wear.

just put on a nice blouse and jeans and or maybe a skirt just make sure that you wairing something that if someone you know who wasn't aware of your lifestyle saw you in it that you wouldn't offend them or other patron at the venue

just find something you feel comfortable in
