Now I really feel old!!! Just had a 30 yr old send me an email, trying to set me up with his dad!! How sad is that?

Its funny isnt it? No matter how old one gets, one still thinks one is 25! (well, I do anyway). Reminds me of when my friend Petr was over here from Czech Rep working for me, and we'd go out once a week. It never occurred to me there was anything amiss with it, until some bright spark at a restaurant asked him what his mom wanted from the menu. Petr looked as confused as me, but of course he's 20 and I'm 38, so that might be how it looked! E

maybe odd but though Master is old enough to be my Dad noone ever thinks He is, though i have actually called Him Dad unintentionally and then tried to pretend i hadn't in case He was annoyed. People tend not to be able to guess my age from how i look anyway, though i think i look too old. wench

LE sorry to hear that happened to you! I don't mind age, I think its all in the maturity of the specific person.... on a more freakish note, twice it happened to me that they thought my mother was my wife...I was aghast...lol...but I guess she looks younger than her years...we were both laughing a little freaked out lol. Another time a shoes salesman tried to get my cousin to buy shoes by telling her that her husband (referring to me) would buy them and then tried to make me make her buy them...I was like....uhhh...yeah shes my cousin, she can buy whatever she wants with her money lol.... anyways sorry to hijack the thread, something that reminded me of that.

Perhaps the 30 yr old son likes you, but figures he's too young... so, he set's you up with his Dad (who maybe is rich and has a habit of running on banana peels in graveyards), so that when his Dad has an accident with said banada peels, the dutiful son is there to console his sexy step Mom.... [;)]... and you'll be so impressed by his empathy and kindness, you'll forget he's younger than you, and you'll fall into his arms... Men are such devious little buggers! lol

At least it wasn't as bad as what made ME feel really old. I broke my age rule this spring and went out on a date with someone in their very early 20s. Things were going well. She actually wasn't the typical flake that girls her age tend to be.() So we end up back at her place for 'hot coffee'. While she's in the bathroom I notice a family portrait. Turns out I dated her mother back in the late 80s. Once I realized who her mother was I remembered this girl from when she was a toddler. The memory of her running around in nothing but a diaper REALLY dampened the mood and made me feel ANCIENT. () Note that I said TEND to be. I did not say all twenty-something girls are flakes.
