Hi there,

I am doing some research for a documentary and hope that someone may be able to offer some help or advice.

I'm sure you've all heard of feederism - where men like excessivly fat women and feed them up to such states. I want to know if anyone can shed any light on the opposite form of this where men like excessivly skinny women (or the other way round) and therefore serious malnutrition and controlled dieting occurs.

If anyone knows anything about this topic, or knows where I can find out more than it would be enormously appreciated. Thank you.

If you google "Abuser" you can probably find something that addresses this issue.

I have done a lot of research on eating disorders, but have never heard of this. I can give you some general sources of information for eating disorders, but nothing specific.


And I have to agree with Lily, this sounds like an form of abuse to me.

Why don't you look in the world of advertising where they hire walking skeletons as models and then women believe they need to conform to those standards and e result is bulemia and anorexia?

That is actually where I did my research, mostly models, but I did a little on actresses. I was motivated after a talent scout approached me and said "you know, you could be really beautiful if you lost about 50 pounds"
This would put me at about 110 pounds at nearly six feet tall, it was then that I decided to do some research on the idea. The size of the Miss America contestents has gone steadily down at almost the same rate as the average size of the American goes up, it's actually almost the same rate. That was my most interesting finding, I think.

I've heard that Marilyn Monroe was a size 12 and now the average size is what? a 3 or 5? There are some actresses where I just want to pin them down and force feed them a sandwich.

Two things.

Sizes have increaced in size since then. This isn't to say Marilyn wasn't curvy, just know that a 12 then is (don't quote me) something like a 6 or 8 now. Sizes have dramatically increaced in size.

Two, there -are- sites out there devoted to anorexia fetishists. They make me sad.

Hello, Everyone-
Marilyn was a modern size 6.
and
Models do not cause anorexia. Women and girls who have anorexia are looking to control their own lives and act this out by controlling thier weight. It's a control issue, not a weight issue. It has to do with self perception, not how others are percieved.

Fat people are stealing food from those poor Miss America contestants! This atrocious behaviour must STOP! Please, won't someone think of the Miss Americas?

Isn't this the point where someone like me (150#) is supposed to get up on the soapbox and demand that everyone stop picking on us skinny people? Something along the lines of, "Not everyone is skinny because they don't eat enough. some of are cursed with an over-active thyroid/hyper-active metabolism and can't gain no matter how much we eat."? We could then get into a huge debate on whether or not morbid skinniness is medically-related amog the ranks of the skinny or whether it's a symptom of the continuing promotion of unhealthy stereotypes portrayed in the popular media.
On the other hand, we could just let the whole body of weight-related issues die a natural death. IMO, folks will attend to their weight as they feel inspired and will attract those who find them attractive. These things tend to work themselves out in the long run.
As to the OP, I can't say I've ever heard of such a thing but it wouldn't surprise me. IMX, there are plenty of folks who seemingly enjoy partnering with someone and then attempting to completely change them. While it isn't my kink, I suppose it must be fulfilling to both the changer and the changee. Maybe I'm simply to lazy to enjoy remaking someone.

I'm seriously underweight, and it doesnt seem like there's any women who appreciate that- most of them tell me to shut up while I'm ahead. What has me really sad is that its a genetic thing, everybody in my family's like this. I just can't gain weight...
