Are they all designers' names or brand names for women's clothing or shoes?

Well, those names all have a slight British flavor.  I will go out on a limb and say British feminine protection brands.... no, wait.  British lingerie brands-- final answer.

How 'bout these for slogans:

"Increase his hunger...with Unger."
"Put on a Lion and he becomes a tiger!"
"When you want the little man in a boat to start goin'-- get Rowan."
"Sheffield-- for when you're playing the field."

Here's one especially suited for the eve of February 12th.

NEW QUARTET:

On the Origin of Species
The Descent of Man
Movement and Habits of Climbing Plants
The Formation of Vegetable Mould Through the Action of Worms

What do these works have in common?

My eighth grade biology teacher had posters up on the classroom walls depicting these things in larger-than-life format. Thanks for the reminder.

(And I suppose that's not the answer you were looking for.)

:-)

Yep. They were all written by Charles Darwin, who turns 200 tomorrow (along with Honest Abe).

Your turn to post, Aylee!

Gimp has and knows it. . . but because of moderation would prefer it if you supplied the next quartet.
