Finally! All 4 of these men had volcanoes named after them in the Cascade Range. I never dreamed it would take this long, with Sunshine and Mr. Hiltonhater both pecking away at it. The "cascade" of guesses, covering a broad "range"... the "eruption" of clues, the guesses that "peaked"... heck, i thought I was making it too easy! Lance is up, and I'll bet his'll be twice as hard.

With respect to hiltie's restriction we go to HISTORY, which I'm sure he forgot to include in his list of NO's.  Who No's, he might get this one, but I doubt it. LOL!

Thomas Jefferson
Alexander Hamilton
Henry Knox (who?)
Edmund Randolph (double who?)

Oh, okay, clue #1: A unique quartet

Well..... I think hiltie is further away than SSM, but I do have to admit that I made some typos in my "win" above.  Maybe a secretary or two could help me fix that. <No, not all secretaries of state.... clue #1 said unique>

How 'bout silent film leading men that didn't "transfer" to speakies?

How 'bout silent film leading men that were all short of stature?
