Damn, you Minnesota!  I edited it just after you quoted it.

Top-o-the-page repeat of current quartet:

Donkeys
Toads
Crows
Rabbits

How 'bout symbols diallowed in Royal Arms?

di·allowed (dī-uh-loud, dĭ-)

To make thinner or less concentrated by adding a liquid such as water.

To lessen the force, strength, purity, or brilliance of, especially by admixture.

To decrease the value of (shares of stock) by increasing the total number of shares.

OK, so if I say animals disallowed on the coat of arms by the english monarchy do I win instead of Lance, LOLOLOL??????

After re-reading your "copy-cat" answer I realized you have a slightly different answer than I do.  I take you to say the British Monarchy disallows them in (all) British Arms.  I say the animals listed are not allowed in the Arms of the British Monarchy.

Sorry, that's still not it!

And actually, "Toads! Toads! All of you people are Toads!" is rather closer to the mark...just not Siam.

I'm going to take a wild guess.....are they animals that a magician like maybe Merlin changed people into, or changed himself into?

Channel Islands from Wikipedia tells us:
The main islanders have traditional animal nicknames:

Guernsey: les ânes ("donkeys" in French and Norman): the steepness of St. Peter Port streets required beasts of burden, but Guernsey people also claim it is a symbol of their strength of character – which Jersey people traditionally interpret as stubbornness.

Jersey: les crapauds ("toads" in French and Jèrriais): Jersey has toads and snakes that Guernsey lacks.

Sark: les corbins ("crows" in Sercquiais, Dgèrnésiais and Jèrriais, les corbeaux in French): crows could be seen from sea on the island's coast.

Alderney: les lapins ("rabbits" in French and Auregnais): the island is noted for its warrens.

Tres bien Lance!

I chose it because my poor husband lives on the island of the donkeys right now.

Your turn!

LOL!

This one is tottally trival if one Googles any one of these names.  Not unique.

Grayson Tighe
David Oscarson
Conway Stewart
Caran d'Arche

Those are compnies, clearly named for the founders.  What we're looking for is the product they all manufacture.

Yes.  In particular, they are all on the list of ten most expensive pens.

http://boozedout.com/lists/worlds-10-most-expensive-pens.html

Van Clef & Arpels leads at $730,000 ! ! ! !

They are four of the 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks.

recent surveys have found them to be short of the High peaks list of over 4000ft, but they still remain on the list

The list I have lists them as four of the 46. But there is something in common about their position on the list.
