That made my head hurt.  The answer isn't something mathematical.

Nope, not even close.

Are they models of trucks, planes, cars, weapons, or something along those lines?

No.

Should I give you a hint?

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 3:01:28 PM)

That might help.

acissej -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 3:02:35 PM)

Okay, here's a hint.  Aileen might know the answer to this one.

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 3:03:41 PM)

Roads in New Jersey?

acissej -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 3:04:48 PM)

Yes!  NJ state highways.

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 3:05:43 PM)

LOL! That was a wild, desperate guess.

acissej -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 3:07:37 PM)

Well, good guess.  [:)]

New Quartet:

108.8
261.2
324
680.8

(Thought I'd continue the numbers motif. You'll need to peek at my profile to solve this one.)

Aylee -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 4:12:17 PM)

They are all patents?

They might be serial commas, but I am not sure what one of those is.

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 6:12:01 PM)

Not patents.

A serial comma is the comma before "and" in a list, such as red, white, and blue. Whether to use serial commas is a hot issue among us editorial folk.

Aylee -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 6:19:09 PM)

Your stats in metric?

BTW, I like the serial comma.  It is the way I was taught.  Although, I really prefer the glitter comma.  That is where you sprinkle glitter over the paper and where ever it lands, you place a comma.  That is my favorite comma.

One of my stats, but not in metric.

acissej -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 6:53:06 PM)

I'm stumped.  I've looked up the atomic weight of silver, longitudes and latitudes, Alice Walker's ISBNs.  I've tried multiplying your height, weight and age by various numbers.  Is it something really obvious that I'm missing?

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 6:54:02 PM)

Here's a big old hint: I was really bummed when they demoted Pluto.

Aylee -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/6/2008 6:58:41 PM)

Orbital characteristics of Luna.

Edited to specify which moon I was refering to.
