Candies? Peeps? Things schoolkids cut out of paper to make cards?

Aylee -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/12/2008 8:00:32 PM)

Correct!  They are all shapes that Peeps come in.

Your turn!

NEW QUARTET (Inspired by the last one):

Clovers
Hearts
Moons
Stars

FullCircle -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 8:02:37 AM)

The first boxes of Lucky Charms cereal contained marshmallows in the shapes of pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, and green clovers.

Copy and pasted from google, thank him not me, I know nothing about nothing.

Well done, FC. Your turn.

3rd Battalion of the Grenadier Guards
2nd Battalion of the Gloucesters
The Royal Fusiliers, City of London Regiment
The Buffs

They are all British Army regiments but what links them. It's nothing to do with common weapons or tactics used by them.

Some guesses:

-- They all have HM the Queen as colonel-in-chief.

-- They all fought Napoleon.

-- They all served in the American Revolution.

FullCircle -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 11:49:27 AM)

Nope not what I was thinking.

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 11:50:39 AM)

Do they all take part in the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace?

FullCircle -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 11:53:22 AM)

I think one special ceremonial regiment is responsible for that, not sure. However it wasn’t what I was thinking.

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 11:53:59 AM)

Did they all serve in the Great War?

Are they all the same type of unit, say, infantry or artillery?

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 11:56:10 AM)

Did they all serve in India?

FullCircle -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 11:56:15 AM)

No it's nothing to do with wars they have fought in or weapons and tactics they share.[:D]

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 11:58:13 AM)

Have they all served in Iraq?

FullCircle -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 11:58:57 AM)

As above[:D]

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 12:00:29 PM)

Have they all been disbanded or absorbed into other units?

FullCircle -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 12:01:38 PM)

Not that I know of.[8|]

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 12:06:42 PM)

They're allowed to raise volunteers "by beat of drum" in the City of London?

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 12:08:13 PM)

They were units in which future prime ministers served?

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/13/2008 12:12:04 PM)

LATEST QUARTET (Which has me stumped):

3rd Battalion of the Grenadier Guards
2nd Battalion of the Gloucesters
The Royal Fusiliers, City of London Regiment
The Buffs
