The thing she described could been very well a yeast infection in the skin, I get them all the time. They're not called yeast infections for fun, they are infected skin in the folds yes, it's an infection.

Most likely. heat and bacteria and moister makes for a bacterial yeasty infection in the folds of the skin.

Well, actually most rashes result from a histimine reaction -- being allergic to something. That would include eating something, walking through something, new cologne/soap/laundry detergent, or any other contact with an irritant. Hmm... major overlook on my part. Thank you for pointing that out, as it is a very important aspect to consider. What is cute, though is that I have an allergic rash on my hand, had it when I posted that. Don't know why I forgot it, but thanks again for bringing it up. Mistakes happen, that is one reason why a large community of people helps- to fix them.
