ORIGINAL: SweetBobbie The small amount of bleeding that you seem to be describing is nothing to worry about even the bright red part. Very likely you developed a small tear or scrape in the anus. Did you notice any pain on bowel movements after the play? Very commonly with small tears the next couple of days may be accompanied with bleeding and pain on defecation. If there has been no further pain or bleeding I would not worry. The anal area is relatively delicate and minor scrapes and tears can happen but 99.99% of the time they heal spontaneously without any difficulty. Agreed. Just a thought - perhaps go with a lubricant you are comfortable with and works better for you. There are ingredients which cause irritation, (preservatives like Quaternium-15, fermented sugar byproduct Glycerin, etc.), and water-based lubes do also tend to dry out much faster, (causing friction and irritation to the internal lining.) Oil-based lubes can leave a coating behind on the rectum which can contribute to a bacterial or other infection, beyond breaking down latex safter-sex products like gloves, condoms and dams. Silicone-based lubes do seem to last longer and are safe to use with condoms, but can irritate if used too long, or not washed out well enough after internal use. Hopefully you did not use a silicone-based lube with that sticky 'jelly' toy, (that jelly wasn't 'cyberskin' silicone, was it?), as it will break down and destroy the life of the toy... I would agree that a small tear should heal quickly on its own. Do try to find a lube you can use as frequently as you need to without irritation, and happy playtimes... Best, ~Thea
