On last night's episode of "Without a Trace" on CBS, the lovely Poppy Montgomery had a gold necklace on that appeared to feature a pair of handcuffs - anyone else notice this?

She's been wearing them for awhile now. B/C she's playing an FBI agent I didn't give it a 2nd. thought; but who knows but her? <wink?

The "style" right now include handcuffs and guns as pendants/charms, so it may not mean anything more than her character is trendy.

Have seen fetish jewelry sold in a number of vanilla shops lately. Seems to be the latest fad.

As a former member of the law enforcment community I can say this: yes- it is very common to wear a charm like that and have nothing to do with BDSM (as I did). Also common are mini-shieds w/ your or a loved one's badge #. Hate to rain on everyone's parade, but sometimes it really DOES have nothing to do with BDSM
