enigmaslave -> Is there such thing as a ProSub/Slave? (12/7/2006 10:23:15 AM)

Inspired by another post from Lorelei115 about becoming a Becoming Pro (Domme). I am curious to know if there is such thing as a Pro Sub or Slave?

If there are:
What made you decide to go pro?
What did you do in order to become a Pro- Sub?
Any legalities?
Any mentors?
Any precautions do you take to protect yourself?

There is such a thing yes, I have two very close friends that are a M/s couple and it is something they do together, she is the sub and her Master is the protector, the safety net so to speak.
It's working very well for them so far, in regards to legalitys and the like I am not sure but am looking into myself.

There are also ProDoms too (male dominates).

There are, I've known a few.  Never asked them why they decided to go pro but I'm sure it was for the money.  Hundreds of dollars a session but they got pretty banged up as well.
Definately a job for a masochist.

Opps, that would get me in trouble. I'm going to need to start looking over what I write before hitting that "ok" button. [:(]

If anyone knows of any *male* pro subs who actually work in a dungeon and have a site/experience I would be very interested in hearing more.  I would imagine there are pro male subs that cater to the gay market, but some may be willing to see women of course...

With male submissives a 'drag' on the market, I can't imagine any woman who would pay to beat a man, since so many would jump at the chance to do it for free.

Maybe in the gay market, but here, too, I'm sure the subs outnumber the Doms by a heafty margin.

And gay Doms have a reputation of often being rather intense players, judging from what I've personally seen and have heard.

Just take a look at the quality of men who "would jump at the chance to do it for free" -- from their submission skills (ability at their craft, real experience), existence of a personal "agenda," experience with scenarios and toys, appearance and hygeine, etc -- and you won't see as large a pool as it would seem.  Add in having to have a professional dungeon and toys and it's even more limited.

The market is tiny, of course, but if they catered to primarily male tops, I think there's definitely an income potential.

Hookers and maids are pretty close to ProSub/Slave.=] ...I'm kidding of course, I don't want to get hate mail telling me that submission is so much more than that...

There's a good book about a pro submissive called "the pleasures all mine", and i highly reccomend it to anyone interested in looking into being a pro. :)

A very close friend of mine is a Pro sub... she started out doing it because it kept her off the streets after a so-called-Dominant caused her to lose everything. This is a pure S&M session, NO sex and she has established 3-4 Dominants that are assisting her in getting back on her feet. Yes, she is a masochist but, due to the Dominants vanilla life... it is a win/win situation for all involved while she continues to work to be self sufficient. I say kudos to her, for not playing the door mat and taking the hand outs offered. She earns it.

Additionally, in larger cities escort services will often keep one or two girls on hand for just such situations.  I understand it's not cheap, and it takes a bit of looking around.  Obviously, these services might thrown in sexual activities (or not, depending on the service and situation) though I don't personally see what the sharp difference between receiving money for BDSM related activities, and receiving money for sexual services is; but that's fuel for another thread (and a discussion I've been down a couple times already here.)
