We don't indulge when I'm menstruating, mainly because I'm uncomfortable with it and it's somehow "not nice".  I'm more than willing to give Him blow jobs, and He is happy with that[:)]  I'm still taking the contraceptive pill, for regulatory purposes and to keep me from bleeding too heavily and too long which has happened in the past.  It is usually all over in 4-5 days anyway.

I have done it in the past, but it just feels icky.  In my mind, not my body [8|] Damn conservative upbringing and an ex husband who made me feel "dirty" at that time and would not even cuddle me [&o] Mind you he only ever touched me when he wanted sex. 

Master will give me lots of cuddles and affectionate touching any day of the month[:D]

       As you can see, this varies by the couple involved.  Writing only for myself, I have no difficulty playng with my sub during that time.  There are a wide variety of things that are possible without deep penetration.
        I always try to learn a sub's perspective before doing so.  What is her  [sm=smile.gif][sm=ugh.gif]  comfort level?   As such, it has always been my practice that as part of her submission, she advise me when her period is occuring.  I still decide on what play is to occur at all times.  Of course, a polite request is never ignored. I don't get my period any more, when I did I was single and had no one to have sex with, or was underage lol. so I've never played on my period but should I ever choose to get off the depo an it was my period yes, I'd play.

You know what, I have and it wasn't bad at all. She treated me like a god afterwards because it was me going out of my way to handle her need. If you doing mind the idea and she's willing to clean up (I took her to a hotel frankly) its all good.

i have real issues surrounding this.  The week before i am feeling ugly and puffy, and it's only compounded by something in Him that totally rejects me as a female..  He says He can feel it coming and just knowing it turns Him off.  Geez, thanks.  He's freaked out my female friends by saying He can tell when they're close, " womens breath smells iron-y 3 days before.."  those comments make us all feel like pariahs one week a month!  (hey, that's 3 months a year!  Every year. For 60 years??  Why do women put up with this??)

Sadly, that's when i am most physically primed for activity, AND i need the lovey-touchies to counteract feeling so unlovable at that time.   i do have a window of "skip" on the 3rd day or so, but if we miss that, i'm hurt and angry by the time the week is over, sexually frustrated, pissed that no man has to go thru one fourth of every month sexless unless they choose to. and i'm embarrassed that i have begged to give oral or do some anal, i feel shamed that i was such a sexual animal in the face of obvious rejection.  Since i have an open marriage, i could find a play partner for just that week, but i don't delude myself that it would cover the main feelings of being rejected by Him, even if it is only temporary, and obviouly clouded and or exaggerated by hormonal flux.

So, coming from my perspective, hey girls.  if he wants you during this time, at your least attractive maybe, and doesn't run screaming ... jump on it!

If this is discomfort from cramps, have you tried eating more nuts right before you start your period? i read somewhere (sorry, i don't remember where) that eating lots of nuts right before your period reduces cramps.

Other self-care:
  • Apply a heating pad to your lower abdomen (below your belly-button). Be careful NOT to fall asleep with it on.
  • Take warm showers or baths.
  • Drink warm beverages.
  • Do light circular massage with your fingertips around your lower abdomen.
  • Walk or exercise regularly, including pelvic rocking exercises.
  • Follow a diet rich in complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, but low in salt, sugar, alcohol, and caffeine.
  • Eat light but frequent meals.
  • Try over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medicine, such as ibuprofen.
  • Practice relaxation techniques like meditation or yoga.
  • Try vitamin B-6, calcium, and magnesium supplements, especially if your pain is from PMS.
  • Keep your legs elevated while lying down. Or lie on your side with knees bent.

    Personally, My animalistic instincts are much more evident this time of month than any other time. I have in the past (when I had a Dom/Master) and would again. I would also say that during this time I would do things that I would not be as willing to do at other times as I am in a somewhat altered emotional state...pure ID. My internal "editor" or "governor" would, most likely, be on vacation. In the past, this caused a lot of those " [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m28.gif[/image] Did I do that???" moments. Good thing I was with Someone I could trust. These days, I would be much more concerned with the obvious health issues.

    We have sex during my period because it doesn't bother him and my period doesn't diminish my sex drive in any way so to not have sex with me would be to torture me needlessly. Also, orgasms help with cramps.

    I don't menstruate any longer. Back when I did, I used a diagphram as my method of birth control. When I was menstruating I simply inserted it and it acted like a " dam " and play was not messy or bloody. It had to be removed immediately after and removal was pretty messy, so I did it in the shower.

    We don't because he isn't interested and I'm uncomfortable. Not just abdominal cramps but I get diarrhea from the cramping. Definitely non arousing.

    I can take it or leave it....i'm lucky in that mentruation has never been horrendous for me.  The day or two before i start, i'm incredibly  horny and primal about sex though....makes for some very hot interludes.
