In reply to the OP: Although exhibitionism isnt my thing....(tho it may be someday) I think its ok to be practiced in a kink club or somewhere that it's accepted. I think a person could very easily get their exhibitionist kink on in places that are set up for it. I dont think exhibitionism should be acceptable in the general public though, because that pulls other people into your kink, without their consent. I guess thats easily argued, but that would be the way I view it. If done in public, you take away the rights of others who may want to walk to the corner deli, or take their toddlers to the park without having to be exposed to kinky or sexual activities. I dont think this should be legal any more than taking a shit off the street curb should be legal.

I don't think the problem is whether or not public nudity or sexual activities should be legal- most of us seem to agree on that. The problem comes about when we try to draw the lines- what is legal and what is not? Where? On that issue we have a range of opinions. For example, I have known of mothers who breast feed their own babies, but won't allow others to breast feed in the presence of their older children; and others (not just a few) who freak out when their kids are exposed to a belly button. That's why we came up with the 95% rule- if that many people are satisfied, to heck with the rest- they are the lunatic fringe.

And I am going to be unpopular for this, if someone did call the cops on people who were fucking or anything else look at me look at me obvious, on a playground or a park in full site of passing adults, I'd be like good for person, the couple in question are getting what they deserve.

The point of this thread is exhibitionism in places where it wasn’t expected and could be easily discovered. I, and a few others, thought this to be wrong because it is forcing something on the public. If we are going to get into whether something is likely or not to be seen, then we have a different argument. I would have no problem with someone fucking chickens at 1 AM on a playground. However, if someone is getting fingered on a playground bench at 1PM, where others are likely to see, I have a problem. Two different arguments, it seems to me.

Yes, adults have taken their off spring to the folsom fair, I talked to a guy there who had his toddler in tow, he said he kept an eye on the crowd ahead and blocked his son's veiw if he saw something to objectionable.

Deciding where to take a child where you know there will be adult activity is one thing. You are making a choice as a parent. While a child probably wouldn't be in a playground at 1 AM it's place that is for children, not adults. While very unlikely it possible that a pair of parents might take a child who couldn't sleep to a playground at night to run off some energy. I feel that one should respect children's spaces as for children. So many young children, particularly girls, are becoming sexual. It's becoming impossible, particularly for low-income parents, to buy clothing for toddlers and middle schoolers that aren't miniture verisons of "Look, I'm a slut!" clothing. Let's try to keep something clean and non-sexual. It takes a village after all.
